Gay Injured in 200 Meters

The hopes of the United States in the 100 meters might have gone down the drain on Saturday.
Sprinter Tyson Gay, who ran a 9.68 in the 100 meters last week, injured himself in the 200-meter quarterfinal, tumbling to the ground and grabbing his left thigh in the process.
Gay’s agent, Mark Wetmore, is claiming the injury is just a cramp and that the sprinter felt some tightness in his thigh while warming up.
His chances of qualifying for the 200 meters in Beijing are gone and his chances in the 100 meters is up in the air, depending on how severe his injury is.
