Isiah Thomas is wasting no time shaking things up at Florida International University.
The Golden Panthers are threatening to pull out of the Coaches vs. Cancers tournament if they have to face North Carolina in the opening game.
FIU wants to take on Ohio State as they have strong alumni ties according to athletic director Pete Garcia.
You guys do know you’re FIU, right?
Isiah or no Isiah, you should be happy that Thomas can make his college coaching debut against Roy Williams and the Tar Heels.

I think it would be a great experience for the players. As a division II basketball player myself on a losing team back in 1974 our team had Providence University, a nationally ranked team on our schedule. Our whole team was geeked about it, we figured they put on their shorts the same way we did. We were 30 points underdogs and lost by six. Go for it Zeke, after all in my opinion pound for pound you were the best point guard to ever play professionally. I can’t imagine you being worried about the challenge!
