Any NBA teams looking for a veteran point guard?
If so, Stephon Marbury is your man.
Newsday is reporting that the New York Knicks are planning to waive the point guard by the end of the week:
Several persons with knowledge of the situation have indicated that the Knicks are planning to part ways with Marbury by the end of the week. One caveat is the approval of Madison Square Garden chairman James Dolan, who must sign off on yet another multimillion-dollar payoff for his NBA team. Marbury is in the final year of his contract, which is to pay him $21.9 million.
Enjoy Chris Duhon and Anthony Roberson in your backcourt, Knicks fans.
It’s going to be another long season.

he is a humor guy, many friends like to chat with him online on tall dating site http://Tallmingle.com ,He often told us some funny jokes. Seems he is famous on that site, especially some hot models talk with him positively.
i think the knicks are probably doing them self a dishonor by letting this talented man go. he is one of the top point guards in the league. He had one bad year with his judgements, locker room non leadership, play on the court, and probably friends. neverhe less, he is a “beast” on the court. I personally played against steph and watch his growth. He is one of the best point guards in the game right now. if the knicks let him go, its just a bad decision especially with him earning @21 million this year. In conclusion, another bad decision by the knicks if they do let him go, and more power to the team that picks this solid guard up. He probably has two to four more good years in him with that brooklyn heart.
So what!!! Now he can take advantage on http://www.RichMingle.com.
You’ve made some valid points regarding Starbury and I agree with you lloyd, but the bottom line is this: HE DOES NOT MAKE HIS TEAMMATES BETTER!!! Yeah, he led a couple of teams to the playoffs (Phoenix Suns), but how many NBA championships does he have? NONE! So, from the aspect, he is OVERRATED! Every team that either traded or waived Stephon turned out to be a better team without him. Just my opinion!
Stephon Marbury was one of the future star-players selected in the 1996 NBA Draft that was led by Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Marcus Camby, Ray Allen, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Antoine Walker, Peja Stojakovic, Steve Nash, and undrafted Big Ben Wallace. This is one of the 3 NBA drafts (1984 and 2003) that have helped define the basketball and hip-hop culture fusion that is known now as The “Dunkadelic-Era” In America, 1984-Present. Starbury was the 4th overall selection. If he’s released he should try and sign with the L A Lakers or Cleveland Cavaliers both of those teams could use an experienced point guard like Starbury.
Let’s hope he doesn’t end up part of this crew.
