I can think of many people that are a poor excuse for a human being. People that actually violated other human beings!! I believe Michael Vick is repentent about his actions. I don’t think that he ever really thought about what he was doing was wrong. Never looked at animals as a living organisms just “Game”, similar to what they do in Europe (fox hunting) and Africa (hunting). But now he has the opportunity to affect others and perhaps sway they way they feel and treat animals.

Too bad you weren’t around during the Edgar Hoover days, NOW that was a man taht was a poor excuse for a human being!!

You should not raise children to look at atheletes as role models anyway. Yes, he did something wrong and he has paid for it and now you can use him as a tool to show people how to do the right thing. We all make mistakes and money and fame sometimes makes these mistakes even bigger. Let the man play in peace and besides, there are famous people out there that have done much worse and are still viewed as “role modes” but if a child does see him as a role model, then hopefully they will see that he has done the right thing by turning his life around.

Michael Vick has apologize enough and doesnt need to keep doing it. He is a great football player and I love him! He is human and made a mistake. There are plenty of people hurting people for example Chris Brown. He beat Rihanna and didnt serve any jail time. Vick fought dogs! So I guess the world cares about dogs more than they care about Rihanna. The world is crazy and I am just glad that Vick is back doing what he does best.

Vick did his time, let him move on with his life, he deserves his second chance just like everybody else in the world does, he did something that was bad and he knows that. Its so many other people that have done things way worse then what he did and still get to walk around like nothing happened, DO people really think that by talking negatively about him everything a story is posted about him, is going to make him feel more worse than he already does, People please get a life.
@Todd– I agree, parents shouldn’t be raising their childern to idolize athletes, its other respectable people in the world that can be role models. please as black people we need to stop telling our childern that playing sports is the only way for a good life.
@Desiree–I wish people would leave Chris Brown alone, just like Vick, he is getting punished for what he did. It may not be the punishment that people would of wanted him to have, but its not up to the public.
