NBA Rookies Caught With Weed

You can file this next story under the “What were you thinking” category.
NBA rookies and former Kansas teammates Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur were tossed out of the NBA’s rookie transition program after they were caught with marijuana and women in their hotel room.
Having women in the room is one thing, but marijuana during a rookie program that is spending half its time preaching the league’s drug policy is another.
According to sources, both players will be fined $20,000 apiece and could start the 2008 NBA season on the suspended list.
Way to make a first impression in the NBA.
If Chalmers is getting into trouble in Rye Brook, N.Y., wait until he gets to Miami with fellow rookie Michael Beasley.

shame on these two guys. God has blessed them and they don’t see how blessed they are. Everyone was really proud of them. That’s a lesson that all teens should learn…….Think of the conseqences before you decide to do wrong.
Donna, I’m with you…but I have some thoughts to add to that.
I think they are prime examples of all talent and no discipline. To me, discipline is more important than talent because it shows sound judgment. You can be the BEST ball player in the world, but if you don’t know how to control yourself- you can be cut from a team in a heart beat.
But what can we tell them? They didn’t listen to the league (THAT HIRED THEM!) So, I’m sure they are reading this blog going ” Look at them haters”.
But we’re not haters! Ok, maybe we are…
Am going with the both of u that was crazy of them
Personally i agree with everyone. I watched darrell and maurice throughout the 07-08 season and loved what they do. But htis disappoints me in all ways possible…I looked up to them as role models-not that im putting them down because i still adore these athletes, i say just think about the people you influence and their overall opinion of your actions in the future!
this is crazy !!! thats all i can say!
Why is there so littles new on BET about Serena and Venus Williams. The two top tennis play, who happens to be African American. The forcus is always on NFL, NBA. Theses tgwo sister are making history and BET same not to notice. Many African American play or just enjoy the sport of tennis. I myself play alot of tennis and woulf like for BET to give mored attention to the Williams sisters. Wha’s up with BET on Serena Williams. NFL and NBA is not all there is.
Please acknowledge the Williams Sister on BET.
watz upz wit everybody now
DANG!! they should been more responsible then that!
Let me guess. “White wiminz”

these catz trippin. they haven’t even played a single NBA minute, and they already breakin the rules. Thats a bad look already.
smoke that kush
Im with the rest of yall, They haven’t even started the season yet and they already trying to be “BIG TIMERS”. They already knew the rules and they felt like they were “Above the Rim”. Well I’m glad they got caught up and disciplinary action was taken. Hope they learned a lesson.
they should be ashamed they got blessed with this gift and are ruinning thier future/career
