At one point, (when Shaq was playing with him), he didn’t feed off of his players, but that’s what makes him the best in the league right now, because he’s made “low budget players” around him, so much better, and lead his team to the playoffs, and Paul Pierce had “THE BIG TICKET, AND JESUS SHUTTLESWORTH?” (Damn). Kobe has been the best player in the NBA for the past couple of years…. Paul Pierce wins a championship and a finals MVP and now he think he’s the best. Damn Kobe would have won if Gasol was more physical and Andrew B. was playing. If Paul is the best what happen to him when his team went 24-58 where was he? He played in half those games. Paul Pierce is not nearly as good as Kobe Bryant. Also, what about Lebron, Ginobli, TMac, AI and Melo. Forget those guys, what about KG. Pierce is just lucky to have KG and Ray Allen on his team and we all know that he couldn’t have won without the help of players of their caliber. I think Paul has great shot selection but he’s not nearly as quick, agile or as fundamentally as sound a baller as KB and couldn’t guard one of the better forwards or guards in the L to save his life. KB plays increasingly more efficient basketball every year and when Bynum gets back on the floor he’s gonna win again. Again, Paul’s not better than KB. He’s not even in the top 5 players in the NBA.

Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA right now there is no arguing that. Paul Pierce is nice and yes his defense strapped Kobe but that does not make him better when you compare to the all around defensive, offensive and more recently assist oriented dominance Kobe has over Pierce plus the three rings compared to Pierces one after being in the league for so long. The NBA even thinks he is the best because he is the only player in the NBA to be able to dictate whether he can be traded or not . So Pierce is great but he is definitely no Kobe.
