Its seems to me that the SEWTA has applied to Safina that it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose, but that you play the game. Safina has not won big since last year, and she has lost early this year except for making it to the finals in the Australian and Stuttgart yesterday to only lose to Kutsnetsova (sp) in the Final. She lost to Serena in the quarters of the US Open 2008; the 1st round of the SE Championships 2008; and she lost to Serena badly in the Australian Open. The only time she has beat Serena was through a Serena withdrawal. Both Safina and Serena had played 17 tourney when Safina became #1 by default. In my opinion, The WTA needs to revamp the ranking system. Safina plays Razzano in the second round at Rome (her first round). I would not be surprised if she lost. Some #1…I feel embarrassed for the WTA because the Williams Sisters have shown the flaws in the ranking system.

It’s sad how the system is set up. I try to not pay attention anymore. I just hope it changes one day. Serena has played hard and deserves her props.

Its just a shame but like she said we all know the real #1 indeed we do serena indeed .

The WTA should be ashamed, always hatin on the sistas…everybody knows Serena is number 1. We also know they can’t stand it. I love the fact that a sista can get under their skin to the point that they have to stoop so low. You are a winner and definitly number 1, the facts speak for themselves.

I think the WTA is trying to keep Williams sisters in a perpetual hole, in order for them to keep playing for the U.S.A. At present, there are no real competitors for the States. In wish Serena could have retired when she was #1! I hope she doesn’t continue chasing after the wind. In my opinion, as long as the dominating factors stand as it is in the WTA, she’ll have to .

We need to support females in sports….Black youth support rappers and booty shakers. The Williams are smart, classy and just role model for young Hershey sisters. I admire and RESPECT them.
