Steve Smith Is Sorry For His Fists

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith is back in camp after KO’ing teammate Ken Lucas last week.
And the fiery wide out was apologetic for his role in the altercation last week:
“I’m not going to get into who’s right, who’s wrong. I’m completely wrong,” Smith said. “It was an asinine decision. And I’ll move forward better than I probably have ever had to. It’s the first time in my life that I really haven’t forgiven myself. I have no eexcuse. All I have is the opportunity to gain the respect of my fans, to gain the respect of my family, gain the respect of my co-workers and gain the respect of the organization.”
Good to see Smith taking responsibility for that beatdown he unleashed.
As for Lucas, he also returned to camp with a black left eye and will need surgery on his face.
Let this be a lesson - don’t piss off Steve Smith.

You mean don’t mess with him while your on one knee with your helmet off, Steve took a seriously cheap shot at his teammate and should be ashamed of himself, if he’s so tough why did he hit a man on one knee with his helmet off…hell I could have knock Suge Knight out if he was on one knee. Apparently, this isn’t the first time that he’s taken a shot at a teammate.
What’s with “men” being so hot-headed and flying off the handle over the least little thing? Someone looks at you the wrong way or challenges you and there has to be an altercation? Please. Grow up. Individuals are losing their lives over this foolishness because they lack the sense and self-control that’s necessary to WALK AWAY from a situation and leave it alone.
I guess they call that “keeping it real” or “not allowing oneself to be disrespected”.
He’s an idiot and so are those who act /think like him.
My people my people my people, when are we ever going to learn, violence never solves anything, it just creates more of a problem. What we have here is a failure to communicate. We have 2 grown men supposedly professional athletes and the example they are setting is one I care not for my child to learn. When you are in the public eye as much as they, you are held to higher expectations and for the money they make, they need to act like it. So that apology was only because it affects someone’s bread and butter. If they were on the street, no apology would be given. It’s all about the money.
I think that Steve Smith suffers from the Napolean syndrome. He’s either fighting with someone or talking more smack than a normal man should.
