You can take the boy out of the hood but you can’t take the hood out of Derrick Rose.

The Chicago Bulls point guard apologized for throwing up a gang sign in a picture that’s circulating the web.

“Recently, a photo has been circulating on the Internet which appears to depict me flashing a gang sign,” Rose said in the statement. “This photo of me was taken at a party I attended in Memphis while I was in school there, and was meant as a joke … a bad one, I now admit. I want to emphatically state, now and forever, that Derrick Rose is anti-gang, anti-drug, and anti-violence. I am not, nor have I ever been, affiliated with any gang and I can’t speak loudly enough against gang violence, and the things that gangs represent.”

Don’t forget anti-SAT (allegedly).

The NCAA is investigating a Memphis player that played in only one season in 2007-08 who had a person take the SAT for them.

And only one person fits that description … Rose.

Game 7: Boston vs. Chicago

Simply amazing.

Just when you thought the Chicago-Boston series couldn’t get any better, it did.

The Bulls managed to force a Game 7 after a 128-127 triple overtime battle Thursday night at the United Center.

Game 7 is Saturday night and the Celtics might be without Rajon Rondo, who got tangled up with Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich in the 1st quarter.

Rondo was hit with a flagrant 1 foul after originally receiving a flagrant 2 from the refs.

Without Rondo, the Celtics would need a miracle to defeat Chicago, even on their home court.

Boston vs. Chicago, Game 7, who ya got?
