Everyone’s favorite NBA blogger is back.

Maybe.

Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas is expected to make his season debut on Saturday against the Detroit Pistons if all goes well in practice.

But with Gilbert, who really knows what to expect.

For all we know, he could come out at halftime on Wednesday against Charlotte and surprise us all.

When the guard does return, he won’t play in back-to-back games and will probably see limited action as the Wizards limp towards the end of the regular season.

The $111 million man has sat out all season after playing in just eight games last season.

Agent $111 Million

Published by Marcus Vanderberg on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 9:54 pm.

Gilbert ArenasGilbert Arenas just got paid.

The Washington Wizards re-signed their eccentric guard/blogger to a six-year, $111 million contract.

And that’s after Arenas turned down an additional $16 million.

“(The Wizards) offered me the max, and I’m basically giving back $16 million,” Arenas told the Washington Times from China, where is traveling as part of promotional tour for a shoe company. “This is in line with what I’ve been saying the whole time. You see players take max deals and they financially bind their teams. I don’t wanna be one of those players and three years down the road your team is strapped and can’t do anything about it.”

How generous of you, Gil.

You don’t think nearly $20 million a year is putting the Wizards in an financial bind?

In a matter of a week, Washington has spent $161 million on Arenas and Antawn Jamison, the same duo that hasn’t been able to knock out Cleveland in the first round of the playoffs.

Can someone explain to me what sense that makes?

Fourth time is a charm, Washington.

Sound Off: Gilbert Arenas

“When I was new in the NBA the team veterans convinced me to shave, you know, down there, because they said the hair stinks. I used my girlfriend’s razor, which was rusty and gave me keloids. The doctor prescribed medicine to dab on, but I just poured it all over. Three days later I woke up screaming. The skin was burnt off my scrotum, down to my crack, everything — just raw flesh. I still had to run and play, so I used a numbing spray for a month until it healed. Now I use clippers.”

- Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas on the worst physical pain he’s ever experienced.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.

Thanks, #0.
