Blake Griffin, welcome to the Los Angeles Clippers!
The top overall pick in the NBA Draft will miss at least six weeks with a stress fracture of the left patella (kneecap), less than 24 hours before their season opener against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Tough break for the possible rookie of the year who likely won’t be back until around Christmas.
If this isn’t enough proof to prove that this franchise is curse, I don’t know what is.
Griffin is not the only Clipper battling injuries; starters Baron Davis and Marcus Camby were also injured in the preseason.
Get better, Blake!

For all three Clippers fans out there, this story is for you.
And for the Knicks fans who were upset when Donnie Walsh traded Zach Randolph, the man knew what he was doing.
The Clipper forward was busted early Monday morning for a DUI after he was spotted weaving in his white Rolls Royce on the 405 freeway.
According to TMZ.com:
Cops say when they approached the car, they “noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from within the vehicle” and proceeded to perform some field tests on the 6′9,” 255 pound 27-year-old. Randolph failed those and was arrested for DUI.
I’m sure you’re thinking “DUI? Big deal. Athletes get bailed out of jail all the time.”
Unless you’re Randolph, who has a prior DUI arrest and is being held in jail without bail.
Let’s hope they have a TV in jail so Zach can watch his boys at Michigan State play tonight.

Say it ain’t so, Donald Sterling.
The Los Angeles Clippers owner has had discussions with Isiah Thomas about a possible position with the organization.
Sterling is looking to add another executive to the front office in order to ease the burden on Mike Dunleavy who is head coach and general manager.
Did the Clippers not take notice of the horriable job Isiah did with the Knicks?
Oh wait, we are talking about the Clippers, arguably the worst basketball organization ever.
Good luck with that, Clipper Nation.

Los Angeles Clippers guard Ricky Davis was suspended by the NBA for five games for violating terms of the league’s drug policy.
Judging by the fact that Davis is 6-foot-7, 195 pounds, let’s just rule out steroids as his drug of choice.
We can all take a guess of what the injured Davis might have been puffin on during his free time.
The suspension won’t begin until Davis is recovered from his knee injury and physically able to play.
Davis is on his sixth team in 10 seasons for a reason.
And he could be looking at his seventh team when he returns from his suspension next year.

It didn’t take long for the first major free agent signing to go down in the NBA.
And now that Baron Davis has landed with the Los Angeles Clippers, can the veteran point guard actually save this sorry franchise?
Davis has $65 million reasons why he’s coming to play with the struggling Clippers, but the Los Angeles native couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play at home.
Or maybe he wanted to be in Hollywood to continue with his film career?
Either way, he provides the Clippers with much needed help at the point guard position and gives Elton Brand a reason to resign with Los Angeles.
Don’t forget that the Clippers were actually the best team in Los Angeles for a stretch three years ago.
Even with that Kobe Bryant guy on the Los Angeles Lakers.
If (and that’s a big IF) B-Diddy can stay healthy, how good could the Clippers be in a loaded Western Conference.
