Michael Vick to … Buffalo?
That’s what ex-NFL coach and NBC announcer Tony Dungy told fans on Sunday, saying the Buffalo Bills had an interest in the Eagles backup quarterback.

Michael Vick to … Buffalo?

That’s what ex-NFL coach and NBC announcer Tony Dungy told fans on Sunday, saying the Buffalo Bills had an interest in the Eagles backup quarterback.

Because if Terrell Owens wasn’t enough of a headcase on that team, they want to add more of a potential liability in Vick.

Not everyone on the Bills feels the move would be the right one for the organization.

Wide receiver Lee Evans thinks it might be for the best if Vick didn’t come to the team.

“Probably not,” Evans said on if Vick in Buffalo would work. “I love him as a player and everything that he’s done for the league, but I don’t think it’ll be anything we’ll aggressively go after.”

At 3-5 and last place in the AFC East, the season is just about done for the Bills. Starter Trent Edwards hasn’t been impressive but he’s likely to perform better than Vick, who hasn’t seen serious playing time at the quarterback position in over two years.

In six games this season, Vick is 2-for-6 for six yards.

‘Nuff said.

The conservatives were in tears trying to prevent Obama from spreading a political message to their students and nobody raised a stink about Vick.

Vick spoke to 200 freshmen at Nueva Esperanza Academy and urge the students to not follow the crowd and make the right choices in life.

Of all the athletes in the Philadelphia area, that’s the best they could get?

Prison time and making mistakes doesn’t automatically make you a motivational speaker for teenagers.

Hopefully Vick’s speech didn’t interfere with what the President had to say this morning. I’m going out on a limb and saying Obama has more to say than a backup quarterback.

Wait, dog collars are a part of your weekly outfit in the first place.

It appears Mike Vick will be eligible to play Week 1 Week 3 of the NFL Season.

Fanhouse got a report wrong on Wednesday in reporting that Vick would return for the start of the regular season.

Instead, Vick’s suspension will be lifted for Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles first road game after Vick’s return is not until October 18 against the Raiders.

See, Roger Goodell is not such a bad guy after all.

The one person who might be most annoyed by this possible move is Eagles starting quarterback Donovan McNabb.

He has already on multiple occasions expressed his frustration toward the disruption of the offense when Vick is on the field.

Even Vick supporters have to know this is McNabb’s team and the Eagles are only going to win if Donovan is happy and on the same page with his teammates.

Sept. 13 can’t get here soon enough…

Way to test the arm, Mike.

Head coach Andy Reid is no fool.

He knows Vick couldn’t complete a 20-yard pass to save his life in his prime, let alone after a nearly three-year layoff.

Donovan McNabb doesn’t have to worry about his starting quarterback job, even after a sloppy performance on Thursday.

As for the pre-game fireworks, things were pretty tame.

The NAACP, who planned to have a demonstration in support of Vick, didn’t deliver with their promise.

And the anti-Vick protesters were small in number as well.

The Eagles last preseason game is next Thursday at the Meadowlands against the New York Jets.

Don’t expect too many cheers from the Jets fans next week, K-7.

No, this is not PETA protesting Vick for his crime.

This is a rally supporting Vick.

…um, why?

“We believe Michael Vick has served his time, paid his debt to society and deserves a second chance and the animal rights groups want to hold him hostage for the rest of his life,” J. Whyatt Mondesire, president of the Philadelphia chapter of the NAACP, said Wednesday. “We think that’s patently unfair. It denies Michael Vick’s basic civil rights, denies him his ability to make a living.”

When did playing in the NFL become a right and not a privilege?

Last I checked, PETA didn’t prevent Vick from signing two-year contract with the Eagles.

I’m all for a guy getting a second chance but I have a problem with marching for a convected felon.

You think Martin and Malcolm would be marching for this man?

Does the NAACP and the Black Clergy plan on holding Chris Brown demonstrations outside of a Rihanna concert and say women’s rights groups are preventing Brown from making a living?

Come on people, priorities…

Every dog has its day.

Even Michael Vick.

The quarterback has signed a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles according to ESPN.com

Eagles backup quarterback Kevin Kolb was injured earlier in the week and acted quickly in order to bring in a possible replacement for the backup role.

Not sure how Philly fan is going to feel about Vick on the Eagles.

Better yet, I wonder how Donovan McNabb feels about the signing?

At least once a season McNabb seems to get caught in a rough patch and the rumors begin about moving him to the bench.

I’m sure offensive coordinator Marty Morhinweg is back at the drawing board coming up with a few extra plays to incorporate both Vick and McNabb into the offense at the same time.

Hell, just line him up in the slot and tell Vick to go deep.

How do you think Vick will do in Philly once his suspension is over?

Update: PETA has added their two cents on the Vick signing:

PETA and millions of decent football fans around the world are disappointed that the Philadelphia Eagles have chosen to sign a man who hanged dogs from trees, electrocuted them with jumper cables, held them underwater until they drowned in his swimming pool, and even threw his own family dogs into the fighting pit to be torn to shreds while he laughed. What sort of message does this send to young fans who care about animals and don’t want to see them be harmed? PETA certainly hopes that Vick has learned his lesson and feels truly remorseful for his crimes—but since he’s given no public indication that that’s the case, only time will tell. At this point, all Eagles fans can do is cross their fingers and hope that they won’t ever have to explain to their sons and daughters what a “rape rack” is and why their favorite player was using one, as Falcons fans once had to.
