From Giant Blue to Jets Green?
Well, that is if Plaxico Burress can avoid Prison Pinstripes.
The New York Jets contacted Plaxico Burress’ agent before the NFL Draft this past weekend.
Rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez, who the Jets traded up to select on Saturday, could use a 6-foot-5 target to throw to on Sundays.
With the Jets lacking experienced wide outs aside from Jerricho Cotchery, it’s no surprise they are showing interest in Burress, despite his legal woes.
Plaxico should have a better idea of if he will be able to play during the 2009 season after his June 15 court date.
His attorneys have been working on a plea agreement for Burress’ gun charges stemming from last year’s incident at a NYC nightclub.
But let’s be honest, even if Plaxico can skate past the New York D.A., he still has to get past NFL commish Roger Goodell.
Is Plaxico Burress worth the headache for the New York Jets?

“We’re a team and we win together … but at the same time, you can’t turn the ball over and expect to win. The other day, the three interceptions really hurt us. I mean, that’s just reality. If I were to sit here and say, ‘Oh, man, it’s okay,’ that’s not reality. The reality is, you throw interceptions, I’m (ticked) off, I don’t like it. You know what I’m saying? I don’t like it, I know everybody else on the team doesn’t like it.”

And let the finger-pointing begin.
