It’s only been a week but can we get a moratorium on the LeBron James to the Nets speculation.
During a Team U.S.A. pep rally and media session in New York, James listed New York as his favorite city.
What’s the significance behind LeBron’s favorite city being New York?
Just the simple fact that a certain basketball team that’s attempting to move to Brooklyn in 2010 cleared up salary cap space by trading Richard Jefferson to Milwaukee last week.
“My favorite borough? Brooklyn,” James said, choosing the proposed future home of the New Jersey Nets over the borough of Manhattan, where the Knicks play their home games. “Brooklyn is definitely a great place here in New York City, and some of my best friends are from Brooklyn, so I stick up for them.”
Let’s not forget James can’t opt out of his contract until 2010, so we could be facing two years of the LeBron to the Nets hype.
Once again, it sucks to be a New York Knicks fan.
