The New York Jets continue to making it rain on perspective NFL free agents, signing tight end Bubba Frank to a one-year, $1.65 million contract.

No team has been busier this offseason than the Jets:

• TE Bubba Franks
• RB Jesse Chatman
• FB Tony Richardson
• LB Calvin Pace
• OL Damien Woody 
• LG Alan Faneca
• DT Kris Jenkins

Nothing like having your cross-town rival win the Super Bowl and your divison rival go 16-0 to wake up management and make some moves.

Even with the slew of players they are bringing in, the Jets still have quarterback woes (Pennington vs. Clemens…both stink) and two disgruntle players in Laveranues Coles and Dewayne Robertson, who are threatening to skip the team’s offseason program.

But don’t forget that the Jets have the sixth pick in the NFL Draft and could land running back Darren McFadden from Arkansas.

Even with McFadden and all that loot spent on free agents and New York is still nowhere to catching the dreaded New England Patriots.

Money can’t buy happiness …or Super Bowl titles.
