It is sad that when somebody does really well in track the first thing everyone thinks of is steroids….. can’t we just be happy in the progression of the sport as a whole…

And for all the american fans…. it is not a direct hit at american athletes now competing but you must admit that the steroid stink emanates from right here in the USA.

I for one just love track and can’t wait for Beijing because all athletes are showing that they are going to give amazing performances…. whether jamaican or american…. great competition… and hopefully because of the big emphasis on steroids recently all athletes will have the common sense to do it this year clean.

that’s messed up that there always a discrepancy with African American person succeeding on a world accomplishment,such as BREAKING RECORDS/BARRIERS, it’s the fault of mother nature not being on our sides. Blame on the Ref in who throws games to benefit his pockets. So why cant this black man hold a world record that was only for qualifying for the Olympics. Just because mother nature was on his side has nothing to do with cheating, not like how other athletes such Mark McGuire who used steroids to enhance his chance of being in record books. This man train, used natural ability, and hard work to accomplish what only some people in this world dream of doing. GIVE THE RECORD TO HIM. ITS NOT LIKE HE CHEATED. IN OUR EYES(African Americans)and those who watched the record being set believe it was a record setting day for us just like Barack Obama set the record for the first black president of the United States. It was only set by one tenth of a second its not like it was 2 or 3 seconds. SO LIVE WITH IT HATERS!!!!!!!!

Bolt was as fast as me two years ago and now he is the greatest of all time????? Our guys tuned him up when he was in college. He is 100% on juice as well as those gorilla Jamaican women. They said he ran a 3.54 40 yard dash. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

You know what, i used to be a skeptic when i first saw Bolt break the WR then i soon became a believer. If anyone really cares to do some research you can go back and realize this dude was puttin up high numbers back when he was 15 years old. Take it from a former sprinter, i was very skeptical, especially since he’s way over that 6 ft margin but you know what, times change. All the people who want to claim that Bolt is on roids, HGH, some type of illegal high testosterone drug well how about we turn the pages to Michael Phelps, whats so different about him?!?!?!

I agree about phelps, I’m happy for him that he won those medals but I don’t hear anyone saying steroids might play a part, so why should anyone say that about Usain Bolt.
As far as I’m concerned I feel we have a new breed of athletes and I think these kids need some fresh new role models to inspire them. I’m proud of all the acheivers in the Bejing Olympics they are truly an inspiration to the young and old
