Usain Bolt Runs a 9.69 To Win Gold

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt broke his world record time in the 100 meters, running a 9.69, and taking home the gold medal.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Richard Thompson took the silver in 9.89 seconds with Walter Dix from the United States winning bronze.
Fellow countryman Asafa Powell finished a disappointing fifth, not nearly as disappointing as Tyson Gay, who failed to qualify for the 100 meters finals.
Bolt’s previous record was a 9.72, which he set in New York City on May 31.
In case you thought you have missed the live coverage of this epic race on NBC, you didn’t.
Instead of cutting away from this Team USA blowout against Spain, NBC won’t air the 100 meters finals until their primetime coverage Saturday night, nearly 12 hours after the world knows the results.
Good call, NBC.

Proud!!! I am soo proud!!! It’s great to see someone excel to this degree. While most of us wallow in self-pity and are afraid to make decisions to help promote ourselves, this dude has broken TWO world record at the same Olympics game! So now we know that anything is possible once you put ur mind to it! He’s great at what he does, and praises God for each race! With faith is God, we can achieve anything! Congratulations to our Caribbean Lightning Bolt!!!
