What’s up BET blogosphere! My name is Travers, I’m a 21 year-old- small town guy from Quitman, TX, and I’m hyped to be one of the You(th) Vote bloggers! The two most important things to know about me are: 1) my little brother is, hands down, my FAVORITE person on Earth; and 2) my parents are the only superheroes I ever pretended to be when I was a child. Other than that, I am:
* “Trav” to a few, “Big T” to people I grew up with, “Teej” to a couple, and “Travy J.” to my mom.
* Passionate about most things related to mass media, politics, and publishing.
* A believer that music is infinitely powerful, and that there are few things more unifying than the electric slide.
* A recent graduate of Morehouse College, and am now living in New York City and working in book publishing.
* Blessed beyond measure, and thankful for both the smooth roads and the rocky paths.
* Excited about the monumental possibilities of the 2008 presidential election.
*Convinced that now is a beautiful time to be young and black in America.

THAT IS CONSIDERED CAMPAIGNING AND NO ONE CAN CAMPAIGN WITHIN X AMOUNT OF FEET TO THE POLLS. THEY ARE BANKING ON US BEING EXCITED AND NOT BEING AWARE OF THIS LONG STANDING LAW THAT YOU CAN BET WILL BE ENFORCED THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE BANKING THAT IF YOU ARE TURNED AWAY YOU WILL NOT GO HOME AND CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES. PLEASE JUST DON’T WEAR OBAMA GEAR OF ANY SORTS TO THE POLLS!! PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION, OH AND FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WERE ALREADY AWARE THIS WAS NOT MEANT TO INSULT YOUR INTELLIGENCE. JUST TRYING TO COVER ALL GROUNDS…ALSO, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR LICENSE OR I.D. CARD ADDRESS MATCHES YOUR REGISTRATION CARD’S ADDRESS.
