Obama is the truth!

I don’t like the word “leader”, no one else refers to “leaders” except Black Americans. He is in this race to become President which entails representing all Americans. I don’t feel that he is putting a distance between himself and Black Americans. When he talks about helping with tax breaks, education, housing, all these things certainly speak directly to Black Americans. I never understand when he is being accused of distance from Black Americans. We must understand the new Black American Politician does not come out of the Civil Rights Movement. They are graduates who have prepared themselves in Law and government and have moved on as the Civil Rights workers before them have prepared them to do. Change, I like that word and was caught up by it when the Senator first adopted it. Black Americans do not have the numbers to elect a President, we only have a bloc that is needed to help and so we must stop looking to “leaders” but include ourselves into the politics of what issues best help us to make a better life in this country. I applaud this new generation of Black American Politicians and look forward to purchasing and reading the forth coming book of Gwen Ifill. I would also like to see more Black Americans stop siding with the divisive majority on the Latino community. If we can come together the way Sen. Obama is reaching out to them, then we could form a coalition that would give us the majority vote. The best work in the world has been the ability to divide those who have power in numbers so that minority rule can persist. No matter how many babies we or American whites produce, we will never be able to catch up with the growth of the Latino population in this country. They will soon be the majority and we need to get our act together to try and form a merger. All the time you wait for opportunity to knock, you must be there to open the door or it will go away. We do not need to promote a fight and an anti attitude that all of those email you receive telling you about how terrible it is and how all these “illegal aliens” are taking things from you. Don’t buy into that hype. When I receive those kinds of things, I send them to the email trash can. I never pass that crap along. That’s like cutting my own throat to buy into that “jim crow scheme”. Notice how they never send you emails about all the “illegal Aliens” or the ones they have admitted into the country for Europe. That helps them so they are not going to. If the immigration act held to one standard rule then we wouldn’t have these problems. But as you know, there’s always a different rule for people who don’t come from Europe. The statue of Liberty says “GIVE ME YOU TIRED, YOUR POOR, YOUR HUDDLED MASSES YEARNING TO BREATHE FREE” it didn’t say “except” for browns and blacks But that’s just my outlook on things. I am sure that there are many who don’t and will never feel that way. I just love making lemonade with my lemons. It gives me more HOPE FOR CHANGE.

what i really think is obamma is for all not just black alone why would people think so negitive. i’m currently registered in virginia and you don’t know how glad i am to know i have that oppounity to do something like this, because i’m origanily from the beautiful Virgin Islands, and we cannot vote for the US president there. so i know my vote gonna count for who can’t because i know he is running for pesident for all of us there as well. Senator Barack Obama has been an outstanding candidate for over a year and a half. He leaped over all hurdles and crossed and passed every test even the are you ready to be commander and chief test. He has been dragged through the mud a hundred times over. His life has been threaten and remains in threat on today by deamons that hate the fact that he’s black and he’s a winner. I love him because of what he stands for and I know he stands for me and my children. I never felt this way about any politician white or black.
