Black Entrepreneur Makes Inauguration Dreams Come True

His name is Earl Stafford, but he might as well be called “Inauguration Santa.” As you probably know (because this more than likely applies to you) everybody and their cousin Peaches is trying to make it to Washington D.C. on 1/20/09 for the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama. (I know I am!) But you also probably know that trying to find a hotel, flight, Inauguration ticket, etc. at this point is harder than Bush trying to locate “misunderestimated” in the dictionary.
With this in mind, successful black businessman Earl Stafford has spent over $1 million on luxury hotel rooms, food and drink, inauguration viewing suites, tuxedos, ball gowns, and hairdressers to give poor, terminally ill, and wounded military veterans the chance to attend this historic presidential inauguration in style, and get this, FOR FREE!!!
Mr. Stafford is the CEO and Chairman of Universal Systems and Technology, Inc., a company that provides a wide array of telecommunications systems integration services. In 2006 it was estimated that the company earned $78 million in revenue.
Ladies and gents, if this doesn’t make you warm on the inside, run to your nearest hospital to get your pulse taken. It feels so good to see a successful African-American man give back to those in need. Thank you, Mr. Stafford, for setting a wonderful example for all Americans.

I agree with a few other comments, especially the ones about how when Black men do good deeds they are never recognized for them. There are good Black men out there but you would never know it if you listen and look at the media. This man has done something special for a lot of people, may he continue to be blessed.

It is always a wonderful thing to hear something nice in the news instead of the usual negative. This is such a beautiful story and God bless him for being such a saint. Being married to a vet and being in a military family, this story really touches me.

Hello, this is such a wonderful thing you have committed to. I have a past student that I would like to bring your attention to. He is a wonderful man that is the Head Story Board Artist for South Park in the creatiion of the program. His name is Adrien Beard. I was his art teacher at El Toro High School in the late 80’s. There could be no one more deserving than this young man to attend the ceremony for the Inauguartion of our President Elect Orack Obama. This was a young black student with many trials to overcome at the time.
Please let me know if you would honor him with this wonderful opportunity on January 20.2009

God is good and his mercy is everlasting. The man is a New Jersey native and although I don’t know him personally I do know his brother Eugene that still lives here in Mount Holly. He too is a wonderful person and when I picked up my paper this morning and saw this I was not surprised. These brothers are the best. Mr. Eugene Stafford blessed a friend of mine with a much needed wheel chair when there was no place else to turn. I have the highest regard for Mr. Stafford. Earl and Eugene and am very please that this man is taking care to see that the less fortunate will have the opportunity to experience history in the making. God Bless You Mr. Stafford and may you continue reach back and bless others.
you will be bless even the more you can’t beat God’s giving the more you give the more he’ll give to you .I was trying to see about a ticket for my mom see is not ill and she is not in the service.she has a sister she keeps had a break down;a brother that had a stroke,and my baby sister that lost her mind for a while she has all of them,along with 2 grands that live with her and 2 more she takes care of. all she talks about is wanting God to bless obama and his family she even says that she would give her seat to someone else.I know you are beautiful inside I see the heart of God in you all he did was gave to us.Romans 8:32 God gave it to you because he knew you would give it back to him.David say never seen the righteous forsaken . may God always bless you and your family.This had to come to pass let’s hope and pray that Obama uses God’s wisdom and know that some don’t like him, and God’s men will protect him and his family always.I would like to say thank you to your wife,woman out God yes it takes a woman that has a God kind of heart to allow a husband to do this. Absolutely Wonderful Mr. Stafford!!! This is an excellent gift. If I had it, I would do the same thing. I believe through God, Obama has opened the floodgates for many more blessings such as this to be poured among every day Americans…put your seat belts on folks, this is going to be an amazing ride!!!! Just receive it.
Now let’s just acknowledge this man’s good deed without asking for favors, shall we??? I’m sure that he would help even more people of he could-and maybe he will help more people. But the purpose of this story is to acknowledge the gifts that this man his given: not solicit him. We cannot and should not spend this man’s money for him.
What he did was great and I’m thankful for it, and for people like him. Fortunately I have the means to go to the Inauguration and I plan to do so. But on the behalf of those for whom this man made a way, I say thank you.
Thank God for those who remember that it was God that blessed them so that they would be a blessing to other’s.But i wonder why only this one person of means thought to do something like this for other AfricanAmerican that dont have the means to be part history,if at any time that is important this is the time for all of those that can really give back to the people should do so..We have many of AfricanAmericans that have been blessed with so much that they cant use or spend in one time,,I pray that they to will join him and help other to be part of this Blessing that God have give to us..
