Deja Vu: Hurricane Gustav

So I’m here in St. Paul, MN preparing to cover the Republican National Convention when breaking news happened-Hurricane Gustav is about to hit land, making a mandatory evacuation necessary for New Orleans, lower parts of Louisiana and Mississippi. So now- we’re all disbursing, some heading to Houston, TX-others to Baton Rouge, LA, others right into the eye of the storm in New Orleans. More than 200,000 people have already evacuated to Texas. 
Interestingly enough, Hurricane Katrina struck around the same time three years ago. President George Bush is flying out to Texas tomorrow, so he definitely won’t be speaking at the GOP convention tomorrow.
Hm…maybe divine intervention? A.k.a someone of a higher power doesn’t want “More of the Same.” I’ll keep you updated.
