What’s up my young politically savvy brothers and sisters… I’m feeling awfully empowered in a “I have a dream” kind of way lately! We all took a quick hiatus to bask in the glow of what our voices (and votes) can do for this country. So I’m back in action, ready to show you where politics and pop culture collide, straight from The Hill itself.

 In the mean time, check out soon to be first Black First Lady Michelle Obama and President-elect Barack Obama grace the latest cover of Essence Magazine. It’s a special edition due out in January to celebrate Obama’s upcoming Inaugural. The issue features essays and commentary from some of the Black communities heavy hitters like Bill Cosby, Maya Angelou, Chris Rock, Gwen Ifill and others.
