‘I Could Feel the Love’
August 21st, 2008
“It’s so hard … to say goodbye to yesterday.” Reminiscing over old memories is good for the soul. Aunjel and Lor’Rena may have run their last track meet together, but they have years under their belts. The two of them will be just fine. I definitely know that regardless of Aunjel going off to school, Lor’Rena will still have her sister by her side. Ashley is to begin a new chapter of her life in Atlanta at Spelman. I couldn’t be more proud of Ashley for getting through her high school career. Home is where the heart is. I’m sure Ashley won’t be forgetting where she comes from, especially with her mother’s help. They’ve got a really special relationship with one another. Congratulations, Ashley.
People are always naturally attracted to Gerren, whether it’s the good, bad or the ugly. I’m just happy that there wasn’t any extreme drama at the pool party. Everyone seemed to pretty much get along. I was proud of both Lor’Rena and Gerren for deciding to put their differences aside. Women should never fight over a man.
Sal has had his eye on Staci for a minute. I was wondering when he would build up enough courage to say something. It wasn’t too hard to notice her stomach at the pool party, especially considering we were all in our swim suits. I completely understand where she was coming from when she denied being pregnant, but her facial expression told it all. It’s nice that Staci’s mother shows Staci all the love and support she needs through these tough times. I’m ecstatic that my girl is having a baby boy. At least that’s less drama for his momma.
I truly commend Justin for being able to step up and find it in his heart to forgive his father. That takes a real man. I am happy he found it within himself to look past his father’s flaws. After all, we all have them. It only took a second to get the two close and for an immediate connection to take over. I could feel the love. Justin has every right to be angry with his father, but finding forgiveness can bring peace. Actions speak much louder than words. I just hope Justin’s father follows through, for the love of better.
