As I read all the negative comments made towards BET and Jay-Z, I felt that are people should really be ashamed. First and formost the award show was tribute to The King Michael Jackson, it wasn’t tribute to Chris Brown, people. Second, Thank You BET for making it possible for us as African Americans to have are own Award Show. I was tired of the Award shows who didn’t give are people the recognition they deserved. My apology for are people who doesn’t think of what really matters.

it was a horrible show, point blank period. I feel like this no one knows the whole story to what happened between chris and rhianna but chris and rhianna, and evidently it wasnt as big as the media and other artist are making it seem. he got his punishment for hitting a girl; but dont punish him for his talent. i’ve witnessed an abusive relationship threw both friends and family, and i can honestly say i think chris brown is far from one. one fight doesnt make you an abuser. so like i said jay z being mr. “father of the year” to rhianna he needs to cut that #%#? out a.sap. rhianna got rumors flowing around left from right that shes messing with this one that one but y’all still wanna hang onto chris brown; come on now.

I wonder how the original show would have been like. Probably the same. Lol. I think the show wasn’t a true tribute to one of the most legendary performers of all time. Yes it had to be rushed, and I understand that. But with all due respect, the public could have emailed the CEO with suggestions and it probably could have been a bit better. Jay-Z performed his song well but didn’t understand why he performed that particular song for MJ’s tribute. He could have done an old song that he’s done with a MJ beat and that would have been awesome. I can’t believe Usher and CB and more entertainers weren’t there, but I’m sure BET has a good reason for them not coming. Overall, it was ok but I really thought the whole show would be various renditions of MJ’s dance moves, songs, etc through out the entire show. That would have been great! R.I.P MJ and my condolences to the Jackson family.

I think the b.e.t awards was GREAT!!!!!…And Jamie Foxx was very funny!!The performances was really good..SPECIALLY Keri Hilson Keyshia Cole and Monica..and Neyo and Ciara..And everyone else did a GREAT job 2..

There is NO modern Michael Jackson, if C Breezy kept his hands to himself then maybe he would have been up there. No one can come close in quality of music, dance ability, and sheer artistic style no matter how good they can mimic MJ. I can find 5 people in my city that can do what Chris Brown can do. Get that mess on somewhere.

I love Jay Z regardless. The BET Awards was a huge disappointment, real nice and WHACK, especially the pre-show. I really thought BET would have back to back songs of MJ but I guess not. Yes BET did give Jay Z too much power with that statement, pull you and your wife out jay the awards would have been great without both performances anyway. First off, Jay z needs to stay retired no one was even into his performance, and beyonce looked a mess with those black roots showing and that pebbles from the flintstones out fit on the red carpet. Who died and left them king and queen. Chris Brown would have been the best performance for the night doing MJ.
