Rumor has it Drake has tore ACL. I guess that explains why he sat on a stool the entire time of his performance and looked like Wheelchair Jimmy of Degrassi.

Technically, that could be interpreted as a homage to that MJ performance of “Remember The Time” from the Soul Train awards many moons ago, but at least pose for the frame in your seat or something.

Be energetic, we don’t want to see you sit there as Lil’ Wayne stumbles around waiting to recite the hook.

Then again, Sherri Shepherd was spotted singing “Every Girl” word for word, and I saw somebody’s mama rapping along to Baby so I suppose there’s no problem among the crowd.

Speaking of mama’s, Toya, a few folks are mad at you for letting your kid be on stage during a song about knocking down every girl on Earth.

Far be it from me to take money out of a sidekick’s mouth in a recession, but are we about to have a night full of 75 people collecting an award?

It’s ok Lil’ Wayne and celebrities, that microphone can’t bite you. Your friends will be fine in their chairs.

Oh you thought just because the 2008 BET Awards was a wrap, we weren’t going to bring you some post awards goodies??? WRONG. T-Pain and Lil Wayne not only tore down this year’s awards, but I managed to snag what was supposed to be T-Pain’s first offering from his third solo project, Thr33 Rings, which is slated to drop September 30.

 Off the first listen, this ish was a keeper….NO LIE! It’s a nice lil intimate club/radio joint that seems innocent, but mischievous in a indirect kind of way. Regardless of how or what the song’s message is….the joint is TOUGH! Check it out below….

Low “I can’t believe I didn’t get kicked out this year” Key

The 2008 BET Awards are in full affect and of course LowKey has your all access behind the scenes pass to any and everything exclusive. It’s obvious to see that this year’s ceremony is going to one to remember and with LowKey in the driver’s seat; it’s going to be one FUN ride.

Now as we all know, one of the most essential things to Award Ceremony etiquette is where and who you sit next to. Egos, requests, denials and everything in between go into the process of choosing who sits next to who and on the big night, we get to see the final result as to where our favorite artists gets placed .

With my all access pass front and center, I went on a mini expedition to see where our favorite hip hoppers and R&B personalities were placed. Is Usher front and center? Will Kanye have his own section? Will Lil Wayne even sit his syrup sippin million dollar self in a seat for more than 5 minutes? Scroll down; I think I came up with a couple answers for you guys.

You ALLLL know when Wayne is in the vicinity, it’s always something to remember. Right after Nelly wrapped up, the big homey RC pulled me outside to see if I was good. While chopping it up, Slim from Cash Money was posted up against the wall waiting for Weezy and Birdman to emerge from their respective areas. RC introduced us, we chatted it up for a couple seconds and I went back to typing on my crackberry.

I looked to my right and a MONSOON of people flooded the hallway. RC yelled, “Nile, come here”. I scurried over, dapped Weezy up and took a quick flick. It came out horrible, and due to the fact he had the secret service surrounding him, I wasn’t about to ask for a retake. He dipped inside to the media room and I followed. Here we go lol…..

Dwayne took to the podium smiling his heart out. The questions came faster than Remy Martin’s verdict. “Wayne what’s your next single” one reporter asked. He replied, “I think I’m going to go with…..you’ll just have to see…Hahahaha”. Hahahahha, the room busted out into laughter. Personally I didn’t find that funny, I was actually curious what is giving the masses next.

He kept his answers short and sweet, but answered every question directly. He informed us about an appearance in the next installment to The Fast and The Furious, and how he thinks Flo-Rida will win the Best New Artist Award. When asked about retirement, Wayne stared at the reporter as if she had three heads and replied with a sarcastic, but serious tone “What’s that…thank you”. And as quick as the questions were fired, Wayne was off to his next function….plastic cup and all…

Oh and that ridiculous diamond cup you see in that picture above was a gift from Terrence and Rocsi. Aww, how sweeet!

If this is any indication of what’s to come June 24, 2008…this just might be the best BET Awards show..EVER! Nelly, Lil Wayne, Mary J. Blige and Usher all took the 106 stage to announce this year’s nominee’s and you know LowKey was alllllllll in the mix snatching exclusive commentary and photo’s.

Though I usually like to run through my train of events with one big blurb, I’m going to switch it up this time around and give you guys a series of separate post detailing my wild and crazy ride backstage at the BET Awards Nominee’s Press Conference. Sit back, grab a smoothie or whatever it is that you like to drink and get ready…LowKey is about to go in….
