Alumni Area: ‘The semester is almost over.’

Hey, BET.com. I know it’s been awhile, but I’ve been very busy with new projects! But for those of you who don’t know me, it’s RAY from season 3 Virginia State; the BEST season! I have to shout out New York, Aysia from “Baldwin Hills” and Poprah from “I Wanna Work for Diddy” for stopping thru my birthday party in West Hollywood last month!
Wow, can you believe the semester is almost over in South Beach? With the attitudes and friendship alliances changing from episode to episode, you would think they were trending topics like on Twitter! And someone needs to call the recycling center because it’s a recession and you can get money for recyclable goods – like PLASTIC! Apparently, Milan has a handful of plastic she feels she needs to dispose of!
We pick up this week with Milan, who was a no-show, and the cast appears to be unsympathetic toward her non-participation because she wanted to eat. On one hand, I see how they can be a little salty since it was supposed to be a group effort. On the other hand, I think it was fake as hell for people to talk about her behind her back, when she initially was assisting earlier in the day.
I found it funny how the main person who was boo-hooing for Jesus and trying to change was the main one in the middle of the behind-the-back talking …. who else but Kyle? Mind you, even after their blow-up, she had his back and was defending him throughout his various confrontations in the house. But Brandon, I have to point the finger at you too, boo! You had your fair share of input along with everyone else so for you to tell her everything that was said, it made you look like a snitch. Bad decision! Don’t yall think Milan had a right to be mad?
In all honesty BET.com, I’m not at all pleased with the level of respect the females are shown on this season! This would not have flown on any other season – especially not with the likes of Deirdra, Anya, Krystal, Vanessa, Jenna and Ashley! I still feel some type of way about how Kyle blew up on Milan on the boat, belittled Allison repeatedly, got in Kay’s face over some ribs and now Brandon gets into a semi-altercation with Kay in the van! Is this the image of Black men that we want our younger viewers to see? That it’s okay to yell at women, belittle them and call them out of their names? Regardless of any prior dealings or encounters, no female should be called out of her name and put on blast like that! Brandon seriously lost some cool points with me on that.
Tune in next week as the drama reaches an all-time high for the finale – Brandon vs. Chris! Which team are you on?

I’m on TEAM CHRIS! I agree with you Ray, the level of respect for the ladies this season on College Hill is very sad.
I’m on TEAM CHRIS but Chris also is the reason the whole Kay/Brandon drama got stirred up in the first place! I have nothing against Chris but meanwhile while he crying over a homeless woman, he causing drama at the same time. I’m not sure if he’s fake or not but I do wanna see him punish Brandon! He was out of line for calling Kay out like that!
I agree with you Ray, majority of the cast seems fake and like followers! Im glad MIlan called them all out – especially Tiffany! I dont like her!
I dont know what to think of this season, this was the first episode of the season I watched and I was disappointed with the language and esculated drama.
I too agree with you Ray! But, I am on neither team. I am on Team Respect and neither one of them represents that!
I think that this season is really boring and I have never seen such fake people in my life, I watch it just to see kyle cuz he so funny and he the only one that will keep it real and back up everything that he says now he may not be right all the time but at least he will walk it like he talk it, and I have one question what is Tiffany’s purpose on the show cuz she don’t say or do nothing but hang wit chris???????
I am really disappointed with this season of College Hill. I was watching the show with a caucasian friend, and if you could have seen her face when the whole van episode transpired. I totally understand entertainment value and ratings, but at what cost? I think this season is showing a very poor example of how young people present themselves. Better luck next season…
I think that this season was alright, but not better than season 5.
i am definitely on team chris because brandon has alot of mouth and hes always snitching on somebody. Brandon should have never talked to Kay like dat calling her all kind of names, if i was kay me and
brandon would have fought,and to top all of dat he pusher her into da window. I’m pretty sure chris won dat fight.
I’m with team COLLEGE!!!!!! This show never shows what college life is like. For the drama they showcase, they can just cast anyone, it does not have to be college students.
BTW did anyone not notice that CHRIS started the whole blowup in the van and said ITS SHOWTIME when they started to argue. Chris is still the big instigator that he always have been. Wow and a lot of people are writing talking about Brandon switching sides. He was indeed talking about her too. However, he is not close to her like her so called alliance. Also Milan lured Brandon into the conversation about her cast mates. Through the entire conversation I did not hear Brandon go into specifics about anyone. I am definitely not defending Brandon in this case because he was entirely wrong for talking to anyone like that.
I’m so tired of the example set by ALL of them! It kills me how they let all of those disrespectful words fly out of their mouths and treat each other like trash, but walk around wearing shirts that say “Teach the Babies”. Teach the babies to be ignorant, petty, and disrespectful? It might make for “good TV” but where, oh where, are the positive images of black folks with common sense? I agree with Ray, aside from Allison, this group is comprised of very weak, one-dimensional personalities this season! Those other seasons had some ugly personalities, but they also had some positives! There was ambition, compassion and intelligence…aside from BET forcing these people to do something good for someone else, there haven’t been even a glimmer of any redeeming qualities.
I am truly disappointed in what I have seen on this show. I don’t know what type of example these people are suppose to be settting but, I for one wouldn’t want my kids acting anything like that. The only thing I would be able to tell them is to please not act ignorant and immature like these supposedly young adults on tv. I would be truly upset if my son ever,ever disrespected women like these guys did. I have always told my daughters not to let a man disrespect them either. I think my kids have more maturity going for them than these young college students do. Brandon was so very wrong for degrading Kay the way he did. Chris is also wrong because he was the instigator. Milan needs to quit whining and take responsibility for that fact that she didn’t show up with the rest of the group when she was suppose too. I think that they all need some counseling after the show because this is definitely not exceptable behavior.

This show turned out to be a big let down for black people all over the world. As a black woman I was so hurt by how the producers have let this go on for so long, not just this season but so many more in the pass. this show should be cancelled. AND I’AM SO ASHAMED OF MY PEOPLE.

I won’t lie I liked this season of college hill but at the same time I was upset at how they had a lack of respect for each other from the name-calling to how the men diespected the famales and vice versa. I was especially disappointed in Chris because I thought he of all people seemed like a respectable guy but at the same time he was an instigator and a follower. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think you all are bad people but things has got to stop how we treat each other.
