Alumni Area: ‘The semester is almost over.’

birthday-love

Hey, BET.com. I know it’s been awhile, but I’ve been very busy with new projects! But for those of you who don’t know me, it’s RAY from season 3 Virginia State; the BEST season! I have to shout out New York, Aysia from “Baldwin Hills” and Poprah from “I Wanna Work for Diddy” for stopping thru my birthday party in West Hollywood last month!

Wow, can you believe the semester is almost over in South Beach? With the attitudes and friendship alliances changing from episode to episode, you would think they were trending topics like on Twitter! And someone needs to call the recycling center because it’s a recession and you can get money for recyclable goods – like PLASTIC! Apparently, Milan has a handful of plastic she feels she needs to dispose of!

We pick up this week with Milan, who was a no-show, and the cast appears to be unsympathetic toward her non-participation because she wanted to eat. On one hand, I see how they can be a little salty since it was supposed to be a group effort. On the other hand, I think it was fake as hell for people to talk about her behind her back, when she initially was assisting earlier in the day.

I found it funny how the main person who was boo-hooing for Jesus and trying to change was the main one in the middle of the behind-the-back talking …. who else but Kyle? Mind you, even after their blow-up, she had his back and was defending him throughout his various confrontations in the house. But Brandon, I have to point the finger at you too, boo! You had your fair share of input along with everyone else so for you to tell her everything that was said, it made you look like a snitch. Bad decision! Don’t yall think Milan had a right to be mad?

In all honesty BET.com, I’m not at all pleased with the level of respect the females are shown on this season! This would not have flown on any other season – especially not with the likes of Deirdra, Anya, Krystal, Vanessa, Jenna and Ashley! I still feel some type of way about how Kyle blew up on Milan on the boat, belittled Allison repeatedly, got in Kay’s face over some ribs and now Brandon gets into a semi-altercation with Kay in the van! Is this the image of Black men that we want our younger viewers to see? That it’s okay to yell at women, belittle them and call them out of their names? Regardless of any prior dealings or encounters, no female should be called out of her name and put on blast like that! Brandon seriously lost some cool points with me on that.

Tune in next week as the drama reaches an all-time high for the finale – Brandon vs. Chris! Which team are you on?

In the meantime, you guys can check out my daily blog – http://raysbleujuice.blogspot.com for today’s leading urban trending topics … with a twist!

Alumni Area: ‘The Grits Hit the Fan!’

red-dress

What it is? One time for all my BET College Hill fans!!!! It’s ya’ girl Fallon from College Hill Season 4 Virgin Islands (the best cast College Hill has ever seen….lol). I’m coming at you with the recap from the latest episode of the newest and hottest season, College Hill South Beach.

Well to start off, all I can say is
WOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The drama in this house is enough to make viewers at home start pulling out their weaves. The episode started with a recap of last week’s incident where Kay (Kathryn) ate, stabbed, and disposed of Kyle’s succulent, juicy ribs.

The motive behind Kay eating the ribs was simple–take some of the shade you give out. In every drama-filled moment of College Hill there is always someone who is responsible for making the drama occur.

What’s funny is that it’s never the people that are directly involved with the drama. The term is called INSTIGATOR, people and like I said, every College Hill Season has had one. In my particular season, all my castmates would agree that Andres would probably get that title. He would stir up drama by telling someone what someone else said and when the people confronted each other, he said nothing and watched from the sidelines as the drama sparked. From my view, it seems like this INSTIGATOR would have been Paul. Was it truly necessary that anyone spoke up about who actually ate the ribs? Especially knowing the temperament of Kyle or better yet, Keisha Fierce! The best policy would have been for everybody to play stupid for the sanity and peace of the house. However, this issssss College Hill we’re talking about and sanity and peace don’t even fit in the same sentence.

So once Paul spilled the beans about the culprit, Kay aka Sticky Fingers, a light switched on for Kyle that everyone knew wouldn’t be turned off until he released his anger on Kay. So as the day went on, every castmate sat on the edge of their seats waiting for Kay to walk through the door so the BIG SHOW could start. To welcome Kay home, Kyle set up what seemed to be a bum’s idea of a romantic picnic with a spread of trash can ribs, a half drunken beer, and a bootleg umbrella.

As Kay walked through the door you could almost see the horns rising out of Kyle’s head! The confrontation happened immediately upon her arrival and once the letter written by Allison to Kay about the rib incident was read aloud, as the old folks would say, the grits hit the fan! Keisha was in the building and stormed up to Kay ready for battle, demanding the cash out for his ribs. Much to her lady standards Kay smirked and agreed to go upstairs to reimburse Kyle. However, that wasn’t good enough for the College Hill Diva. He wanted that confrontation and Kay simply wouldn’t give it to him. No matter how much or how loud he yelled or how many bitches she was called in the matter of one minute, she kept her cool. Even as the altercation lead to Kay’s closet, where I’m sure Kyle was ready to cause havoc, Kay remained intact while still attempting to get her point across.

Now this is the part that pisses me off. I HATTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEE people who just stand around like spectators while drama is popping off. If no one besides Kay and Kyle had anything to say, everyone else should have returned to their respective spaces. It’s just human nature to want to see drama, I guess. Even in my season when the argument between the Cali and V.I. kids took place prior to Vanessa and Krystal’s fight, I stood there for about 2 minutes before walking outside. If people aren’t going to start putting people’s face in the dirt, why stand around and look at them go hard as if something’s really about to pop off? On the other hand, I could understand the need for at least one person to be there to prevent Kyle from going totally overboard and putting his hands on Kay who is in fact, a woman.

All in all just to retrospect the situation, it’s so evident through obvious personal experience of doing the show and viewing past and present seasons, the drama that goes on between castmates 95% of the time has NOTHING to do with what’s being argued about. Example, our season…Krystal, JT, and I had this HUGE argument over some damn ground beef!!!!! Ground beef, people. Once Krystal and JT began to argue further, the spiteful comments made from both of them had nothing to do with the beef. Krystal may have had issues with things being taken from her and a personal experience might have sparked her upset reaction.

The verbal ass whooping that Kyle gave Kay, which was so obviously pointed out by Milan, was not about her stealing his ribs—Kyle has issues. What those issues are no one knows yet, but it’s evident that they need to be addressed before his anger seriously compromises his or someone else’s safety. Next episode the whole house will be going through family therapy together so maybe a revelation will happen as to why Kyle is so hostile. Definitely no shade to Kyle because I think he is the funniest College Hill cast member ever!!!! I just hope his temper can stay in check so at least for the second half of the experience the Season 6 house can bond and enjoy the College Hill life!!!

Thanks for tuning in everyone!!! If you don’t know, I have my own personal blog titled THE BABY MAMA CHRONICLES that features more personal drama than you can handle! Log on to Myspace or Facebook and type in ‘Fallon Favors’ under ‘search’ for more details. See you later!!!

Love Live Life,

Fallon

Alumni Area: ‘That was nothing but b_tch_ssness! ‘

college-hill-fellas

Hey BET.COM! An introduction isn’t needed here, but for the new fans, I’m Ray from “College Hill” season three. I recently attended one of BET’s launch events where I bumped into Season 4’s Willie Macc and Season 5’s Dorion.

So, we pick up from the infamous Brandon mush. Let’s recap: Brandon called Chris out his name and Chris being from D.C., I already knew what reaction was coming! Thank God it was just a mush, but then again, I have to give props to Brandon for being mature and not swinging on Chris – now that would have been Pay Per View! Somehow, the cameras make their way to Kyle as he struggles to cry on camera in venting his frustrations – someone get him his reality TV award already!

Finally, Paul speaks! He’s been quiet all season and of course it would be Kyle to once again be the mix of drama and wanting to voice his two cents. So I’m confused as to why Milan and Kyle felt Paul should have stepped in between Brandon and Chris? In my view, it wasn’t his battle! True, where people are from determines their stances in situations just as people from where I’m from haven’t worn jean jackets since 1998!

I must say Allison has kept it real this season thus far, she has let it be known she’s not afraid to touch herself, and she will let you have it once you push her to the edge! I got my life when her boyfriend Pioneer came over and they got it on in the sheets! Is it just me or is she the only one who got it on in the house???

GO TEAM KAY! I woulda ate all them ribs, licked my fingers and left the bones on the counter! Then I’d wait for him to say something and then that would be the show BET has been waiting for! TRUST ME! But now I’m giving Paul the stank eye for snitching on Kay about eating the ribs! That was nothing but b_tch_ssness! You just sat there and refused to get in the middle of Brandon and Chris’ drama, but you step in on Kyle’s drama and rat Kay out?

As for next week … I hope Kay calls Kyle’s bluff because she seems to be the only one who isn’t scared of his loud mouth! Oh but wait, Tiffany boo, who is Shane? Did I hear you say boyfriend? … Where does that leave Chris? I guess everyone has to tune in to see!

Alumni Area: STRUGGLE

May 5th, 2009

gucci-girl

After watching this episode, “struggle,” was the first word that came to mind. It opens with Kyle dealing with his argument with Allison and how he felt about the comment she made about his father. Was Allison right for defending the new housemate Kathryn? Or was Kyle entitled to his own opinion? Either way, this was not the fight that rocked this episode.

The next struggle was one that is all too familiar. It was the struggle for freedom. The group visited Key West where they were informed of how slaves were brought over to Jamaica in shackles. Instantly, Milan felt a connection because of her roots in Jamaica. I agree with Kathryn that the shackles made an impact. (Even though I thought she laughed at first, later I noticed she began to cry.) I always enjoy when “College Hill” gets educational. LOL. Paul makes an excellent point about how petty the arguments are in the house compared to what African Americans have been through.

Poor Kathryn was already struggling being the new girl trying to fit in and make friends. She went to see the house for the first time and it was dirty and smelly. What a situation to walk into! Tiffany tried to clean up and even though she is new, Kathryn jumps right in and lends a helping hand. Now I can see why Paul may be interested in her….

Now the struggle you all have been waiting for…..The MUSH!!! I almost fell on the floor when Kyle said “Brandon gets mushed.” I thought that was just a Virginia thing! Let me break down the definition of “mush” (or in the past tense mushed). “Mushed” (verb) is when a person puts their hand on your face and pushes your head with force.

According to Chris, he mushed Brandon because he called him a b*%^@. He said that he asked Brandon not to call him out of his name. Brandon feels as though he was mushed because Chris is jealous of him. He thinks he is jealous because Tiffany was attracted to him first and that the ladies enjoy looking at his chest. (I don’t know if that is true but I DO ENJOY LOOKING AT HIS CHEST.)
So this goes on for a couple of minutes with Kyle trying to hold Chris back and asking for Paul’s help. Paul stays out of it and says that the two “grown men” should fight it out. The housemates are upset with Paul and think he should have stepped in. Milan even tries to explain to him that fighting is not the answer (she was in an altercation with Terry) and that you will still feel the same way afterwards, plus you will have to go home.

Though, at some point Paul does step in and holds Chris back, after doing such a good deed, Paul then chooses to pick up the “bat phone” and tells production he wants to go home to his aunt’s house. NO PAUL DON’T LEAVE!!! The whole thing seemed to have blown over but apparently that is not the last of the Brandon vs. Chris feud. What will happen next??? You will have to tune in to find out.

One thing I can say is this cast is very fun and colorful. You have the best narrator ever in KYLE, who keeps it real and speaks his mind. The diva MILAN, who holds it down on the fashion tip and knows how to handle herself. A petite cutie TIFFANY, who has the boys’ hearts racing. The ladies’ eye candy, handsome BRANDON. The ultra real soul sista ALLISON, who is smart and stands up for what she believes in. CHRIS is the intellectual roughneck, who can intimidate you with his mind as well as his muscles. The street smart diverse Paul, who lets you know where he is from and how they do it. Last but not least, Kathryn (aka Kay) the “new girl,” who makes a big statement with small actions. She may not be loud and opinionated, but she knows how to get her point across. And shout out to the tongue-lashing Terry. You did your thing and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
The cast as a whole is awesome and the season is great! No struggle there! Can’t wait to see how it all ends. God Bless.

P.S. Look out for my new book, Embrace Yourself: The Guide to Happiness & Bliss, available in stores and online Fall 2009.

Alumni Area: ‘This Cast Definitely Takes the Cake’

April 21st, 2009

marc-and-jenna

Hey, “College Hill” fans. It’s the one you either love to hate or hate to love: Jenna from “College Hill Interns.” I know it’s been a while, but I’ll always be a part of the “College Hill” fam, so I’m honored to write an alumni blog on the most dramatic season thus far, “College Hill South Beach.”

With every season there’s always personality clashes and ongoing rivalries, but this cast definitely takes the cake with the nonstop fighting.

It’s obvious that the biggest diva on South Beach is the infamous Kyle. I don’t think Kyle would survive a day with another “College Hill” cast. I know he couldn’t have been in Chicago with the interns without getting an attitude adjustment! On this episode, Kyle ruthlessly attacks Kay for no reason at all, and I’m glad Allison stood up for her because nobody else did including her “friend” Brandon. I was surprised that Kyle’s other victim Milan defended Kyle’s actions saying Kay didn’t give him a chance to show his good side. I wish we could see this other side!

On another note it looks like there’s something brewing between Chris and Tiffany. I think they’d make a cute couple. Tiffany is a pretty girl and Chris has his own swagger. I wonder how far they’ll take it. Marc and I are living proof that reality TV romances can be real! It’s been almost two years and we’re still going strong!

Tune in next week to see how Kay adjusts to her new home and if Kyle finally gets the help he needs to deal with his personal issues and stop lashing out on his roommates!

Alumni Area: ‘That RV woulda been rockin’

April 15th, 2009

ray-krystal-and-fallon

Over the weekend while the weather was nice … I caught up with season four’s Krystal and Fallon. To my surprise, we had a fourth member to our table at the restaurant; Fallon’s daughter Sayuri joined us!

“College Hill” has had its fair share of personal issues like Bianca’s father’s abandonment situation on season three, Shalondrea’s pregnancy on season one, cultural clashes on season four and sexuality identity misconceptions on season five. True, we take the risk of our demons being exposed on national television – but that’s what you signed up for!

So with that being said, after six episodes of Kyle putting on for the cameras and bumpin’ his gums, I felt little to no sympathy when I saw him stuffing his face and then throwing up his food in the bathroom. He claims to have a self-confidence issue, but he verbally attacks Allison constantly! No, I wasn’t in the house and I know about the power of editing, but the cameras don’t lie and Kyle definitely put on for Tallahassee.

But with every season, there’s that one housemate who can’t hold the liquor – so Brandon joins Will, Lonnie, Vanessa, Andres and KaSheef in the Most Likely to Drink, Pass Out and Throw Up superlative!

Moving on to the new girl – hey Kay girl! First off, let me welcome you to the crazy family we all love as “College Hill”! Let me tell you something hunney, if that was me and I was getting grilled like that, that RV woulda been rockin’ and it wouldn’t have been from anyone having sex!

Stay tuned for next week as the housemates travel to Key West, Florida! Will Kay finally put Kyle in his place? You have to tune in and see …

Alumni Area: It has to be drama or it wouldn’t be ‘College Hill’.

April 9th, 2009

deirdra-milan-and-ray

First let me say my cast mate Deirdra and I had a blast hanging out with Milan on her visit to LA!

Well, the semester is well on its way now that the class drama queen, Terri, has been expelled by her classmates. Clearly, her season superlatives are Most Likely to Leave (you made “College Hill” history girl!), Most Likely To Need A New Weave (since Milan pulled pieces of it out) and Most Desperate (wow, Brandon didn’t even hit it, and you was trippin!)

So we gonna skip the Brandon and Milan fussing and jump into Chris and Tiffany!

I’m guessing she’s over Brandon because I caught that tea when she said she finds Chris’ agressive personality attractive. Umm hmm. Meanwhile, I’m sure Brandon was watching while they was bumpin’ and grindin’ in the club, LOL!

After two weeks of finger-snapping, pool stick grabbing and flirting – the housemates come together and volunteer for a voter registration drive. It was a good look, but of course it has to be drama or it wouldn’t be “College Hill.” I’m assuming Allison was late because she was coming from class. Clearly, I’m on TEAM ALLISON – if stuff is unorganized and my name is attached to it, I’m a do what needs to be done immediately to fix the situation (not take orders from anyone who ain’t my mama!)

The highlight of the whole voter registration was the event coordinator calling FLO RIDA ‘LOW RIDA’. LOL! No one bothered to correct him!

As for next week … I (along with everyone else) is surprised as to what else Allison shares with the group besides the fact she satisfies herself three times a day and needs to get laid once a week! WOW!

Alumni Area: …only on ‘College Hill’

March 31st, 2009

ch4_vanessa2

Wow oh wow, so Terri is mad because they voted to keep Milan. Is she serious? She picked up a ball from the pool table (Has anyone ever gotten hit by one of those? They really hurt!). Then she picks up a pool stick. I mean, ok she’s mad yadda yadda, but seriously, Terri! Come on now!!! Milan may have thrown the first hit, but hey. What do u do in a situation where someone has gotten the best of you? Surely being the bigger person is not anywhere in the forefront of the brain…

I thought it unfair, however, that the castmates were allowed to vote the person they thought should go home. In my season (Virgin Islands), the decision as to who went home between me and Krystal was solely up to production… but hey, that’s how the world turns. I’m not mad; I’m so over it…

Even though I thought it unfair for the cast to be able to vote who should go home, it was the best thing. Only they know who they feel more comfortable around and who causes more drama. Plus Milan is hottt, no homo, lol…

Well just another season in the world of college life and drama. This season thus far is so entertaining and hot. I can’t wait to see more of “College Hill South Beach”!!! Plus, I wanna see if Brandon and Chris will get into it over Tiffany…only on “College Hill.” Stay tuned for more juicy drama in South Beach!!!

-Vanessa

P.S. If there is another “College Hill Reunion,” I hope Terri is a part of it. I wanna meet her. LOL.

Alumni Area: ‘ …seriously turning up the heat!’

March 31st, 2009

ch3_ray

I told ya’ll to gimme a minute and I’d be right back! It’s Virginia State season’s RAY and geez, this new season is intense! After seeing that fight with Terri and Milan, it took me back to the Virgin Islands season! I told ya’ll last week, a lifeguard needed to be on duty while “College Hill” was in South Beach! This season is seriously turning up the heat quickly!

Wow … tracks on the floor? With three on Team Milan and three on Team Terri, who goes home?

Well clearly Terri’s one evident friend in the house, Kyle, voted against her, when he initially voted against Milan. That’s what friends are for. Right? Funny how Kyle talks about perception to Terri in regards to hooking up with Brandon on the first night, BUT he pouted, turned his back to Milan and got offended because of his perception to her, which was he’s gay! Is anyone following me?

No shade, Brandon. I’m confused, boo! One minute he was cool with Terri, the next he wanted her off him and now he wants her to stay in the house.

Either way, backtracking, Terri kept referring to her family. Are they the Sopranos or something, if so – disregard my comments! No shade, Terri. I Googled your name and I’m not going to say what I read but it seems this isn’t the first time you (or your mama) were involved in drama!

Word of advice to anyone who gets their ass whipped, never admit it …
on national TV!

I don’t know about season six but after I witnessed a fight and voted out a house member, the last thing I’d want to do is do a voter registration drive! Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good cause. Hell, I’d be sitting by that nice pool with a drink in my hand!

I did catch next week’s preview, and I will be getting that inside on Tiffany and Chris all up in the club on each other! What happened to Brandon? Umm hmm, awww sookie sookie now!

Alumni Area: You Never Know What to Expect

March 24th, 2009

ray

It’s Season 3’s Ray and I’m back! Yeah, the class reunion was cute, but I still have more to say! I honestly didn’t know what to expect from the South Beach season of “College Hill”! If you recall from previous seasons, you never know what to expect because it’s been everything from surprise strippers, secret note passing, country blue suits with gator shoes gone wrong, fighting with shoes, toe sucking, bikini-top baring and who will ever forget … COGNAC!!! When was there ever time to study?

Before I could even get into the episode to meet the new housemates, my attention was on Terri, the pageant girl. I could not stop concentrating on her edges! Her weave was unbelievable! I’m not sure what was worse, her tracks or Kyle’s ranting on and on about Milan, who is obviously asking him what is obvious. Am I right? He proclaims to be super gay and can spot a pair of BCBG shoes!

So I had to backtrack for a quick second, Allison is a flute performance major? What the hell? Just had to make sure I heard that right. Ok, moving along … Tiffany is confident, Chris clearly is the comedic relief of this season, and I thought Paul was interesting. Looking at him he looks White but he is half Jamaican! Milan got her 10’s across the board but I could not ignore how fine Brandon was! The commercials had me sold when he took his shirt off, I was officially on TEAM BRANDON right then! Where can I get my button and bumper sticker?

I thought Terri’s head was about to turn around like in the “Exorcist” when Brandon was talking to Tiffany in the pool! I ain,t gonna lie, Brandon was looking right, but even if we kicked it the first night, I’m not tryna be boo’d up the next day when there are two other options! I can understand how Terri would feel offended by Brandon playing her to the left the next day, so once again I sympathized with her in that situation at that time until…

I didn’t get why Terri was acting like Brandon put it down in bed – she was cleaning, ironing and making his bed! Did we miss something? But did y’all catch Milan when she said, ‘Terri I missed you lastnight! I was in the room by myself!’ Catty! LOL But the situation seemed to turn into a scene from Fatal Attraction when Terri started threatening to have her cousins go ‘G’ on people in the house and it didn’t help her mama was instigating. But like the song goes, ’she get it from her mama’!

From the looks of it, the drama is going to esculate next week! Well, this is “College Hill” Virginia State’s Ray giving the South Beach season a B+ grade. This is only the beginning, but it looks like this semester is getting off to a good start!

To the new class, good luck this semester but here’s some advice: Terri, don’t be so pressed. Brandon, think with your other head, and Milan, ‘you better always defend that face’ hunney! Tune in for the next episode, I think a lifeguard needs to be on duty while “College Hill” is in South Beach!

I’ll be back sooner than you think but in the meantime you can catch up with me and all the other College Hill alumni from Virginia State, Virgin Islands, Interns and Atlanta on the College Hill Central page!
