What is going on good people? Wow, another exciting episode from America’s favorite family. So let’s start this thing off on the right note. Keyshia is all about branching off and becoming an outlet to help others start their career. We see her in the studio with her cousin and artist Amina knocking out tracks for her upcoming album. Keyshia enlists the likes of Jazzy Phae for some production. Hey it doesn’t hurt to have a cousin with connections that’s for sure.
Neffe and Frankie are always working on their relationship. The question is will they ever get it right? The two make another trip to see Dr. Wilson for more counseling. Neffe’s beef is that she wants her mom to have better men in her life. Frankie tells Dr. Wilson and Neffe that young cats like ‘Zo’ made her feel good and all about herself. Frankie does get that she needs men her age right now in her life and she recites her list of qualities the man should have. Neffe is elated to her the progress her Mom has made and starts acting a fool on table. Okay, Neffe that was a little too much there shorty.
Keyshia is done with her album and is ready to take the family off to Water World. The entire crew including R&B star Monica head off to the waves. Keyshia looks mighty fine in her bikini! She tells Frankie she needs to hope in one too. Frankie is not trying to hear any of that noise but with a little coercion from Keyshia she gets in one. The family all goes to the 50 ft. incline slide but no one wants to go down it. Frankie of course takes the leap and goes down the slide at the age of 50! Holla!
Neffe is starting to come to terms with her life and visits Bishop Eddie Long for his guidance. He prays for her and lets her know that things are going to be alright for her and her family! It’s good to see Neffe getting some solace in her life. Now all she needs to do is stop crying so much and wiggling on tables in public.
Well that is that for the latest episode on Keyshia Cole! Make sure to watch again on Tuesday night at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Until then this is Stretch’s Unofficial Guide to Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is Season 3!

What is good everyone? This past Tuesday brought us another riveting episode of Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is. The show started off with Keyshia in L.A. putting the finishing touches on her third solo release, “A Different Me”. She is visited by her doctor who advises her that her tonsils will have to come out. The doc was all up in Keyshia’s mouth for that diagnosis. Ha! I wish I was the attendee that day!
Back down in Atlanta Neffe hits the promotion block to promote her book. She is on V-103 the hot station in Atlanta–so I’m told. We get to meet her new man…Soullow! Who is this dude and where did he come from? When being pressed by the radio jock about their relationship ol’ Soullow did the whole she’s a good woman routine, blah…blah…blah. That dude won’t be around long.
Neffe is asked to go the Aniz Foundation and talk to young girls who have been abused and or have been infected with HIV/AIDS. She decides to bring her oldest daughter Brianna so that she can learn. Neffe tells the girls her story and reminds them to all speak up if something bad happens to them and most importantly protect themselves. Neffe, I think has a future in being a motivation speaker. Shout-out to Neffe for instilling some change and direction into those girls lifes.
Back in L.A. Keyshia and the Ron Fair work on the last pieces of her album. They all sit around and talk about what should be the lead single or set-up song. Keyshia wants the uptempo Polow Da Don track and Ron wants to go with the Tupac featured track “Playa Cardz Right”. Ron wins! The night comes for everyone to hear the album and it is a star-studded listening party. Jamie Foxx, Monica, Kwame and Frankie are in the house! The tracks that we got a sample to hear were tight and Keyshia sounds better than ever. Frankie and Ron Fair got her dance on if that is what you want to call it. Keyshia seems happy with the album and it showed with her big smile at the end of the episode! “A Different Me” is in stores now so go out and support your girl Keyshia!

It is Keyshia Cole Day in Oakland! That is how we start the episode of with Keyshia back in Oakland! We get to see Ya-Ya, Frankie’s mom and Keyshia’s maternal grandmother. Frankie and Neffe reflect on what Ya-Ya did and meant to them. From the sounds of it Ya-Ya took care of every-body’s kids in that family. Shout out to Ya-Ya! Neffe gets caught up talking about her grandmother and Elite gets teary-eyed because she missed the time growing up with Ya-Ya. Neffe then states that Ya-Ya was her everything…she was her Obama according to Neffe.
Keyshia is in town and shoot over to the Youth Uprising Center where she meets up with fellow Oaklandnite–Too $hort. She is given the rundown on how the youth in the area look up to her. Keyshia hits the stage after being informed of the struggles of her city. The crowds go nuts when Keyshia hits the stage to receive her proclamation for ‘Keyshia Cole Day’. The best part was Keyshia giving back and donating $10,000 to the youth center!
Now it’s time for the drama! I love this show since they hit you with the good deeds first then get gutter at the end. Since last season we have heard of the infamous Kevin. Well Neffe’s baby daddy makes a guest and I’m sure only appearance of the season. This dude is a straight character and I wonder what in the world Neffe was thinking on that one? The two start to argue over their son, Jaylin. Kevin wants to be around and see his son but his actions speak differently. This dude is a little out there if you ask me. Neffe asks him what does he plan on doing for his son? All he can do is respond with “I want him to dress like me”, what in the world! He then begins to parade the boy around in public showing off for the camera. This dude is a straight cornball! I hope Neffe learned her lesson on this one.

What up everyone so another Tuesday has passed and of course you know what that means…Keyshia Cole! Well this week’s episode was okay for me a little tame and no yelling and craziness for once. I guess that is a good thing in some eyes but I need that once-weekly distraction the show gives me. Things start off with Keyshia doing some spring cleaning of sorts by cleaning out her closet of crap she either never worn or doesn’t wear anymore. She even has a few pair of her old boyfriend’s jeans. Keyshia if those are 36W 36L pass them over here! She decides to donate the clothes to a all girl organization called “And Family Center”, a place that teaches young women to be just that young women and the importance of respecting themselves and abstinence. Good job Keyshia!
Brianna–Neffe’s daughter is all down and out because her Mom wants to put her in private school. Brianna wants no parts of it and doesn’t like the idea of wearing a uniform and leaving her friends. The counselor tells her that it’s going to be hard-work and that she will be prepared for college. Go ahead, Brianna and take your butt to private school. Well if it was up to Frankie she would be. I loved the part when Frankie came by and dropped some wisdom on Brianna on how she went to private school and how it was so much better than private school. Way to go Frankie by dissing the hard-working public school teachers! But Frankie does tell Brianna that she will learn a lot and gather the tools she needs to be the productive star she is destined to be. Well that was all nice and all but I want to find out what private school and Frankie attended! That is my mission!
So Manny tells Keyshia that she is headed to Caribbean for a couple of show dates. She tells him that she wants to bring the whole family (minus her brother Sam) he has to stay home and watch the house. The whole family is off to Trinidad and I don’t know if the Trini’s are up for this visit from Neffe, Frankie and them. It was good to see Neffe and Frankie get their passports since they have never been out of the country before. According to Frankie this is a CODE 10! Speaking of Code 10, Frankie finally lets us all in on what Code 10 actually means. Now after hearing her explanation I still don’t know what she is talking about. Thanks Frankie. Code 10…Man down!
Now the most disturbing and also funniest parts was seeing Neffe, Elite and Frankie at the club dropping it like it was hot! It was hot alright…A HOT MESS! Please save my eyes from this atrocity and never let me have to see Neffe drop it again not even a ball or a dish! The whole thing closes out with Keyshia in concert and bringing out her family on stage for a nice family moment! Well that is it for this week and what a show it was for real. I can’t wait for next week and from the looks of it it is going to be a good one! So don’t forget to watch next Tuesday at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). Until then this is Stretch’s Unofficial Guide To Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is Season 3!

Just when you thought things were bad with Frankie chasing after Zo, our favorite “Holla” cougar makes moves with another young tender-tony! We will get to that later. So another Tuesday has passed and you know what that means…Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is, baby! So the episode starts off with Keyshia at wits end when it comes to her sister Neffe and her mom Frankie. This mother and daughter combo go at it more than two kids wrestling for space in a bed at night! Keyshia has Pastor Phelps come by to intercede for the family but mostly for Frankie and Neffe and their bickering. Keyshia states that she just wants them to get along, that’s wishful thinking Keyshia. Pastor Phelps tells Keyshia that she can’t be wings for everybody. This holds true. Keyshia has been extending herself to everyone since day one and I still don’t think they appreciate her kindness, sincerity and most of all her—love! The pastor tells her (Keyshia) to focus on herself more. He recommends counseling for Frankie and Neffe and that seems to trigger the both of them. It is hard to see how the two of them can ever have a civil conversation when they both like to YELL! And I mean boy do they yell at each other. We see Keyshia with a bewildered look on her face stuck in the middle of the two. As Neffe storms off and leaves Keyshia, Frankie and the rest of the family in the room. Pastor Phelps tells Keyshia again to let the burden go. I agree with the Pastor on this one. Open the window Keyshia and let it go for real.
Next we jump to L.A. and we see Keyshia along with Manny, Ron Fair and John Singleton. John is talking to Keyshia about making a movie about her life thus far. Keyshia reflects on the incident that took her from Oakland to L.A., let me guess it had to be a man! Ding-Ding–I’m right. Well, I’m sure that dude is kicking himself in places all over his body. Your lost playa! We also get to hear Manny finally speak! Ring the alarm he speaks…he speaks! Back at the ranch rather Neffe’s house we see Frankie calling for Neffe to come to the kitchen. When Neffe walks in Frankie is sitting there with this dude that looks like he just woke up from a year-long nap! Frankie goes on to say that this sleepy dude is her new man for real this time from South Carolina. Wow, Frankie moves fast on the men I see. Zo hasn’t been gone but a split-second but that doesn’t stop Frankie. Frankie is the go get ‘em cougar. We come to find out that the guy’s name is Jamel. He like his predecessor has a mouth full of gold. At least we see Frankie is consistent with her types–young and mouth full of gold. Jamel is a man of many words too! Well, he only says two words in very slow and deliberate drawl which is “For Sure”. Keyshia and the crew are off to the shop…the gun shop! Keyshia is like a sexy siren in her high heels and shorts at the range. She manages to hit the bulls-eye and flirt with the instructor too. If Keyshia decides to retire from singing I think she has a future in law enforcement. Neffe is on the phone with her manager as they go over the layout of her book. It’s good to see Neffe make something out her tumultuous life and turn it into something better. The name of her book we come to find out is “My Happiness Is My Sanity” and I hope that is the truth. All Neffe has to do is get happy about Frankie then she can truly be sane. Well that is a wrap for me this week. Make sure to watch another new-episode of Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is next Tuesday at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). Until then this is Stretch’s Guide To Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is Season 3!

Oh my folks! Another Tuesday has come and gone and you know what that means…C.F.D. aka Cole Family Drama! Well, I can say that the episode started off on a good note with Keyshia treating Yvonne to a day at the spa. That was a nice sight to see them bond but where was Frankie? As Yvonne and Keyshia get rubbed down (Johnny Gill’s – Rub You The Right Way just jumped in my mind) Yvonne asks Keyshia when is she going to have some babies? Keyshia said when she finds a husband. Keyshia jets on Yvonne to go to a show and her mom continues to get her massage when out of the blue our prayers are answered because Frankie is in the house! Frankie comes in not to cause drama but to actually extend an invitation to Yvonne to go to church. That was really big of Frankie to lay forth that first step of fixing the relationship between the two of them. Of course after the two of them tickle each other and laugh it up we get a “Man Down” from Frankie.
Well after all the niceness you know the drama had to come and boy did it ever! Neffe rolls up on Zo (Frankie’s Boyfriend) like out of an episode of “The Wire”. Neffe is mad because the word around town is Zo has been laying his hands on Frankie. My question is why is Frankie who is every bit of 40 something hanging rather dating this dude? Zo and Neffe go at it like they were the special-guests on Jerry Springer! Zo talks about how he never hit Frankie and blah…blah..blah, all I have to say that dude is shady in my book. Did you see his mouth? Looks like a stick of margarine melted on his teeth! Frankie finally rolls up to take up for her man or boy or man boy whatever, she takes up for him. She tells Neffe that he has never touched her and that she is not smoking weed. She tells Neffe and her son Sam that she is not on crack anymore and that she can go to the pharmacy and take a test. Frankie goes on to tell Neffe that she is broke and that she couldn’t even afford drugs if she could. Which Neffe responds with “You don’t have to since your man sells it”. Wow! All of that chaos and in broad daylight and most importantly in front of Neffe’s kids.
Frankie runs into Yvonne and tells her everything that went down with Neffe. She is mad because according to her Zo was on probation and felt that Neffe was out to get him so he split. I don’t know if that had anything to do with it Neffe. I think the fact that cameras were in his face and it was put out there he hits women, and may or may not do illegal sales of sorts had a lot to do with it. Shout out to Zo wherever you are you and your butter teeth. Frankie confides in Yvonne that she thinks everywhere thinks she is on crack. We get a chance to see Keyshia in concert in Cincy where she runs into a blast from the past, Shirley Murdock! It was good to see the old school with the new school. I think Shirley whispered in Keyshia’s ear, “Girl, get me on your show please!”
Back at the ranch Yvonne, Keyshia and everybody else sit in the newly designed doggie room which now has a TV and the conversation is about kids. Well Yvonne does all the talking on how she prays for Keyshia to have kids. Keyshia says she needs a husband again and her mom says she is praying for him too. She also tells her that she is going to have twins! Which seems to be news to Miss Cole. In her one-on-one time with the camera Keyshia said “she is to gangsta for that”, classic line. Now it is church time and Yvonne and Frankie go and get their worship on. The name of the church was long and I honestly forgot the name of it but just know it was long. The pastor calls on the worshippers to come up and reflect on their experiences in life. Yvonne comes up and reflects on her past and where she is now in her life. Frankie gets her chance to come up and share. Frankie makes one poignant statement that will help her to her road of recovery. She makes the assessment that she is learning a lesson on forgiveness. It looks like Frankie is on the road to recovery of the heart. So shout out to you Frankie and to that dude that was yelling “my god” every 2 seconds!

Before I start this recap I have to say this is probably one of the funniest things I’ve seen since the video of the kangaroo punching some dude. Now let’s get into this thing the right way. The episode starts off with Keyshia strolling up into the crib and sees herself on the tube on an episode of 106 & Park. We be pluggin’! Anyway we get to meet Keyshia’s babies! By babies I mean her three dogs Lolo, Gizmo and Lyric. It’s nice to see how she interacts with her pooches and it’s obvious she loves them because she creates a room just for them, equipped with furniture and freshly mural painted walls. The one thing I never knew existed were “doggie panties”, well I guess there is something for every occasion. Keyshia makes sure to buy her dogs some while out doing some shopping for them. An episode can not be complete unless we have a Frankie sighting and boy do-we-ever have one in this episode. Keyshia has a wonderful idea to to treat the two most important women in her life to a day at the spa. Yvonne and Keyshia are set to go except Frankie can’t go because she has a show. Where in the world did Frankie get a show from? Frankie’s tells Keyshia she’s getting 2 G’s for doing a walk-on at some show. Keyshia doesn’t take to that nicely. She wants to spend time with her moms and Frankie is talking about money. Frankie erupts on Yvonne and this causes Keyshia to bounce and utter the words “When is my life going to change?” Frankie is full of emotion and expresses that all she needs is her babies and a Newport! Wow, I need that to get me through my day too! Yvonne calls Frankie in an attempt to make good with the funniest woman on television since Carol Burnette. The conversation between them has some of the funniest one-liner’s I’ve heard in years. Yvonne wants to take Frankie to dinner to talk about “newness” and Frankie wants no part of it. According to her she is watching horror movies and eating Popeye’s Chicken! You gotta love that! Yvonne continues to push but Frankie isn’t biting. She tells Yvonne she needs to check her itinerary! Well after that whole conversation is over between them we all learn a few things about Frankie. She loves horror movies, Popeye’s, beer and she has an itinerary! I told you this season is going to be fire! Make sure to catch an all-new episode next Tuesday at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). Until then this is Stretch’s Unofficial Guide To Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is Season 3!

Hello World! My name is Stretch and I’m the online producer for Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is Season 3. So throughout the season I will be giving you my ‘unofficial’ recaps of each episode. So without further delay let’s get this thing started!
Wow, what a difference a year makes but in the world of Keyshia Cole not much has changed! When we last left our heroine she and her family were all kissing, crying and hugging at the reunion show and we thought all was good. Well, let’s just say that was short-lived.
The episode starts off with a fresh, leaner and more relaxed looking Keyshia. She has been getting her workout on which has done a good thing for her. I’m loving the new hair color and it looks as though she has repaired her gap(I thought that gave her character)on her front teeth. Nonetheless, she looks like a woman on a mission as she prepares herself for the new album and tour. Keyshia is not the only one with new things in her life, Neffe moves into the house that Keyshia bought her. It is a really nice gesture of sisterly love from Keyshia. Now Neffe has a place for her and her 4 kids to live and be a family. Yes, that’s right I said 4 kids! I’m sure you all remember Jaylen…Neffe’s son who was introduced in the reunion show. Well my man is in the mix and he loves himself some spaghetti! Neffe is still coping with a lot but has seem to become more chill. She is still going to therapy and working on herself for her kids. But all of this before we see Frankie, so I could be speaking prematurely!
Keyshia heads to L.A. to get cracking on her new album. From the look and sounds of things it’s going to be a smash especially with Polow Da Don on the production. We see Manny make a non-speaking cameo–way to go Manny! Keyshia shares that she is in a happy place right now in her life. Again, I must mention this is all before a Frankie sighting! LOL. Keyshia tells the crew that this album is special because she is single and that dude (who could she be talking about?) she was dating is out of the picture.
So halfway thru the episode the main-attraction hits the screen–cue suspension music…Frankie! Yes, Frankie aka Gannny makes her presence felt when she comes by Neffe’s house. There was no time for Kool-Aid and Oreo cookies before the two of them start to argue over Frankie’s belongings being put in a garbage bag! I guess Neffe is going to need another trip back to the therapist after this altercation. I love this family they are so hot and cold at moments which makes for some explosive television. From the sight and sounds it seems Frankie is a little hot under the collar since Neffe got the house that was meant for her. In more breaking news we are introduced to Elite–Keyshia’s sister and one of the seven kids by Frankie. Elite looks a lot like Neffe and it will be interesting to see how she and Keyshia interact with each other.
Well all of this and it’s just the first episode! Make sure to catch an all-new episode next Tuesday at 10 p.m.(ET/PT). Until then this is Stretch’s Unofficial Guide to Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is Season 3!
