What has happend to B.ET? It use to play a key role in ensuring that artist who didn’t fit the comercial mold, but still made real hip hop music had a voice; now it has become nothing more than a place for the soulja boys, and Gucci man’s. If hip hop is dead than B.E.T has part blame. God bless you all I’m done with this hip hop game…. go ahead and bury it , i’ve put in my 2 cents.

You know what? If a new network can be started up that can do better for the image of African Americans, and give the under ground hip hop artist that don’t have a voice a chance; maybe, just maybe hip hop can come back. I understand that B.E.T is running a business of giving the majority of fans what they want to hear, but the truth is that people don’t know what’s good if they’ve never had it. This new generation of kids weren’t around when real rap was here, all they have is what is here today. It’s like someone who has only eaten junk food their whole life; if you try to offer them fruits they might be reluctant or dislike it cause they’ve never had it, but over time they will realise the difference. You have to give people the right to hear the underground artist even if it is not what they are demanding right now. The next greatest MC, could be right under our noses and we wouldn’t even know it. In regards to the programs that have been added since B.E.T was bought by Viacom, it is obvious that their is an attempt to pattern after MTV
it’s sad. Come on something has to change.
