Drama for your mama!!!

It’s the closing curtain for BET.com’s first original web series, “Buppies,” and this last episode did not disappoint! We had drama up until the very last second.

Derek FINALLY said it!

He said a mouth full last week with his “I wasn’t ready” speech, but this week was the icing on the cake.

“I was a FOOL.”

I could have told ya’ll and Derek that nine episodes ago…LOL…but I’m glad this big head was man enough to look Quinci in her eyes and let her know.

And on the other foot, Quinci was woman enough to admit that she is “not over” him.

Despite the tension and history between the two, the moment is quickly broken with a SLAP and Quinci’s harsh words….

“If you love me, please let me go.”

That’s right Quinci! TELL HIM!

And where is Derek when Quinci has a major meltdown in her car in front of his house???

Let me guess…

…He’s not ready…AGAIN!

OK. So Quinci and Derek are not the perfect couple….does that leave Eliot and Priscilla to hold the title? What’s in store for them after their big announcement? Will they ride off into the sunset or is there more drama, intrigue and ever-changing friendships around the corner?

Quinci sums up “Buppies” in an instant and it’s so on point, I am printing it for all to read…

In an interesting turn of events, Quinci finds herself sharing laughs with her ex, Derek, and she asks the question that we have all been waiting for since Episode 1.

“WHY DID YOU LEAVE?”

A tough question to ask, but somebody’s got to do it!

He admits to pressure from work to win the championship and not knowing how to be there for Quinci when her dad died. He wasn’t “ready.”

In short, he’s a boy not a man. But I give him some man points for finally stepping up to the plate and admitting his shortcomings.

Well, for starters, he is looking like a professional tree boxer hanging outside the party.

Two, he confesses that Bitsy isn’t all that (but we knew that already), and explains why he brought her to the party in the first place.

Moving right along…Nikki confronts Shaka about how he really feels. I don’t think Nikki is as “nice” as we think. She might be blonde, but I don’t think she is dumb. Shaka doesn’t admit to Nikki that he is wrong for how he has treated her, but he does come clean about how he really feels about his fancy corporate lawyer gig.

Where are Eliot and Priscilla? That crazy couple!!!!

In this episode, Shaka finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place named KOURTNEY.

Kourtney can’t wait to grill Shaka about his new friend, Nikki.

I mean really Kourtney, is it really any of your business or are you just serving up sista girl attitude in an attempt to check Shaka about who he hangs with?!!?!

What we learn is that Nikki is the daughter of the partner at the law firm where Shaka works and he refers to their friendship as “strategy.”  I bet Nikki don’t know that! LOL!

And last but not least, Kourtney can’t wait to introduce Quinci to Shaka’s girrrrrrrlfriend.

Based on the scandal from last week’s episode, I know everybody has been waiting for “the talk” between Priscilla and Eliot.  Well, this week, we got it!

A very nervous Eliot tries his best to come clean with Priscilla but Miss Prissy won’t let him get a word in edgewise and drops her bomb first!

As much as we loved episode four, “The Fire This Time,” the story continues….

Is it just me or have you noticed that the number of guests keeps growing at this birthday party?  Another uninvited person rings the doorbell and this time, it’s Kourtney with the shocked face.  Please don’t get brand new now, Shaka; it won’t help any!!!!

Last but not least, the NFL hottie keeps it real about how he really feels, but Eliot simply can’t handle the “truth.”

This time, Quinci inquires about a familiar pair of shoes on Bitsy’s feet, and Truth confronts Eliot, head on … no pun intended.

First, let me talk about the ladies. Didn’t I tell ya’ll that Bitsy was short for ‘small-brained’ chick. Well, she really showed how “smart” she was this week. Quinci held it down when she saw her shoes on the new chick’s feet.

I got one word for everybody to NOT use in a sentence when telling where you get your fashion on….

JCPENNEY.

Did Bitsy really think Quinci would fall for that line? With designers stepping up to the plate and offering hot looks at stores like PAYLESS, I might have believed her. But I have not heard any buzz about JCPENNEY lately … have you?

Enough said! Hilarious!

Now, on to the guys. There has been something brewing between Eliot and Truth since Truth showed up at the birthday bash, and if you had not already figured it out…. BAM! It all came out in this episode. After three years you would think they had moved on …. But can they? Will they?

Derek did man up with a half-a** apology.  Although quick, he did part his sorry lips to say, “I’m really sorry about what happened between us.” This is the phrase that most jilted girls yearn to hear, but never do.

But wait, what’s up with Quinci’s ex’s new wifey, Bitsy?  Is she a little crazy or is it just me?  Is that her name for real or the size of her brain? And wait, what’s up with her rocking Quinci’s shoes…that is definitely a fashion faux pas.

NFL hottie Truth slithers in like a snake to introduce himself to Eliot’s girl Priscilla, only to be rushed off by Eliot for a little one-on-one conversation. What do they have to talk about?

Not one to mess up, perfect Priscilla is quick to pull her synthetic hair 101 routine on Kourtney.  Kourtney checks “Prissy” in her own quick-witted way and keeps it moving.  Hilarious!!!!

Why is it that everyone knows at least one dude like Shaka…a true fake player.  He yearns to be a hip-hop artist but it’s clear that his rap skills are zero.  What’s up with his friend Truth? In my opinion, he doesn’t look like NFL material, or does he?

As Quinci prepares to face Derek, what do they possibly have to discuss?

It’s official! “Buppies” has landed at BET.com, and it’s jam-packed with friendship, betrayal, affluence and drama.

We officially meet Tatyana Ali’s starring character, “Quinci,” the socialite daughter of a Hollywood celebrity, who realizes that her friends are her only real family she has left.

Quinci has had some tough breaks, so a 26th birthday bash seems fitting. She joins her crew – Priscilla, Kourtney, Shaka and Eliot – to celebrate what is supposed to be a small and intimate affair; but instead it’s a circus!

When Quinci’s name is not on the list to get in, I find myself having flashbacks of “ATL Housewife” NeNe trying not to be tardy for the party only to find her name was not on the list either.

Described as the “second worst day” of her life, Quinci presses on and tries to enjoy her day until the person she thought she would never see again is standing right in front of her face.
