EXCLUSIVE VIDEO// New Producer Boola Congratulates Ne-Yo On STA 2010 Nominations

Published by Eb the Celeb on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11:02 am.

Up and coming producer Boola—who’s production will surely yield success a kin to Pharrell Williams and Swizz Beatz—sat down with me exclusively to congratulate his friend Ne-Yo on his Soul Train Award 2010 nominations. He also dished on the recording process with the singer/songwriter—the pair have worked together several times—and his dream collaboration.

Boola has followed in the foot steps of Kanye West and Swizz Beatz, and is currently in the middle of an online free download series called Produced By Boola. The first record released in the series was “Shot Down” that featured Ne-Yo. Missed the free download? Log on HERE.

SOUL TRACK// Ne-Yo “Shot Down”

Published by Eb the Celeb on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 5:14 pm.

After releasing “Beautiful Monster,” “Champagne Life” and “One In A Million”; it would be safe to say Ne-Yo has embraced a more pop sound, but one thing’s for sure, this singer/songwriter still has plenty of soul in his bones—and thats proven with this recently surfaced track, “Shot Down.” While the tune won’t be featured on his upcoming album, Libra Scale (available November 22nd), producer Boola released it as 1 of 10 songs from his “Produced BY Boola” series. Check out the song below and SOUND OFF in the comments section below.

ATLANTA ARTIST SPOTLIGHT// Keri Hilson

Published by Eb the Celeb on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 1:59 pm.

Since the 2009 release of her debut Album, In A Perfect World, Keri Hilson has released a series of chart-topping hits—including the #1 Billboard R&B hit “Knock You Down” featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo. The singer/songwriter has a long resume that stretches back to 2006 and includes penning hits for the likes of Beyonce, Usher, Ciara, Ludacris and even pop star Britney Spears. Her first effort unsurprisingly went gold and this Decatur, GA native went on to win the Soul Train Award for Best New Artist last year. After being named the face of AVON’s Imari fragrance this past spring, the now blonde maned Hilson is gearing up for the release of her sophomore album No Boys Allowed. The first single “Breaking Point” (Did you catch her perform it on Black Girls Rock! last night?) has been slowly easing up the R&B charts. She recently sat with AOL’s Boombox to talk music and the new album. Check out the video and SOUND OFF below.

Ms. Keri Ba-By is nominated this year for BEST HIP HOP SONG OF THE YEAR for her vocals on T.I.’s “I Got Your Back.” Tune in November 28th at 9pm EST on BET & Centric to see if she wins.
