Billboard recently released their list of the Top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop artists of the last 25 years. Unsurprisingly, the undisputed king of R&B, R. Kelly, topped the list. So how did Billboard come to this conclusion? Well the criteria was based on actual performance on the weekly Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts from Jan. 5, 1985 to Nov. 6, 2010
Including compilations and collaboration R. Kelly has released a total of fifteen albums. Sold more than 34 million records worldwide with seven No. 1 albums, twelve multi-platinum-selling albums, and eleven No. 1 singles. Congrats Kels!

R. Kelly’s new song “Taxi Cab” could easily be the theme song for “Taxi-Cab Confessions” (remember that show?). If you ever needed a soundtrack to your innocent cab ride turned steamy…Kels has you covered. Take a listen and SOUND OFF in the comments.
Tune in at 9pm EST on November 28th to watch R. Kelly open the Soul Train Awards 2010.

R. Kelly releases the title track off his 10th studio album Love Letter. The sound of the track is reminiscent of the spirit of his Love Land album—this effort was never officially released but if you’re a fan of the pied-piper, i’m sure you found a way to get this project anyway. Check out “Love Letter” and SOUND OFF in the comments.

R. Kelly, the undisputed King of R&B (sorry Bobby Brown…we still love you), is back with Love Letter just in time for the holidays. This will mark the pied-piper’s 11th studio album, and will be released on December 14th.
Love Letter comes as the second installment in a trio of projects that includes Epic—a greatest-hits compilation released exclusively in Europe— and the third album, Zodiac, which will be released some time next year.
Love Letter includes the Sam Cooke inspired “When a Woman Loves.” The title track will hit radio as the album’s second single on Nov. 22, while “Love Letter Christmas”—a holiday-themed remix—will be released soon after.
ED NOTE: You MUST catch R. open the Soul Train Awards 2010 airing November 28th at 9PM EST. Trust us, its AMAZING.
